Of course Tyson's going to Hall of Fame - even IF he didn't deserve it on the basis of what he did in the sport, which he DOES - the guy was the most famous boxer since Ali. On that alone he'd get inducted, frankly. Jeez, people debate this when JIM BRADDOCK is in the Hall. C'mon. It's lunacy. Of course Tyson belongs in the Hall.
I couldn't agree with you more! He's a despicable excuse of a human being. A low life, gutter snipe! Mentally, he's the missing link between ape & man!
Easily in. And we remember him as having a "short" run, but 4plus years as the undisputed heavyweight champion is a hell of a run.
of course he is...i try not 2 comment bout the more technical aspects u guys get in2...but pls...there lots of good young fans and participants mikey himself bought 2 this great sport...
Hall of Fame is about accomplishments in the ring. Whether you like him or not doesn't change his accomplishments. You've apparently made up your mind already, so it saves me trying to change it.
Youngest man to capture a heavyweight title. Beat up all the competition and ruled the division for years, with victories over Spinks, Holmes, Tucker, Tubbs, Ruddock, Berbick etc. Got thrown in jail and lost his touch, but he then fought Holyfield, Lewis, Golota after his time in prison. He even had a mega fight long long after his supposed prime. Tyson isn't just HOF but also an ATG.
Yes, without a doubt in my view. Tyson cleaned out & dominated the HW division like no other HW in history except for Joe Louis. Tyson won the WBC title at just 20 years old. Damn, he wasn't even old enough to legally drink alcohol in USA at the time! In my view, Tyson was not only the best HW between 1986-89, he was also the best P4P fighter in the world. Five years on from the McBride defeat, I expect to see Tyson inducted in the HOF. Basically, fighters who didn't achieve as much, were not as good as Tyson have been indicted, so why shouldn't Tyson?
Should definitely be, although I can imagine some members getting very po-faced and not letting him in.
