Mike Tyson has never beaten anybody as good as Povetkin.

Well, the reality is, a prime, undefeated paper champ, Olympic gold medalist, multiple amateur champion and Russian #1 heavyweight would be the best win on Tyson's resume. He's even arguably the biggest fight Wladimir will go into.

It's hard to say if he'd beat everyone Tyson beaten, it's more likely he'd pick up some loss here or there, but listing all those guys to beat him is impossible without an agenda.

Obviously people didn't watch the fighters from back then. Wayyyy more skilled. Give me Tim Weatherspoon over every HW today.

Povetkin....an irrelevant non factor if placed in that era. That chubby euro-nobody would never get through tysons resume without several losses. If you're not old enough to have seen late 80's up to 2000 fighters....there is youtube....and anyone can easily see the massive gap in top flight talent and more importantly high quality depth which that era holds over todays division. Povetkin isn't a bum at all but lets be real.

At 34 Mike Tyson certainly wasn't able to do the likes of this.

pov did well in the amateurs but man hes barely more than a fraudley now.

fighting charr to prove his credentials, for goodness sake, that is the mark of a fraud.

In the 80s, Pov would have gone no further than a few amateur titles had he access to the pro ranks at that time. The top ten HWs would have beaten him.

Povetkin can't be featherfisted at all

in fact, he must be one helluva puncher since his sparring partner compared his power to GGG's, after sparring with both

didn't realize the video posted was of his most recent fight. please don't compare that dude to tyson. tyson would have knocked both of them out with the quickness.

Iron Mike Tyson made all the fighters look like bums except the great Evander Holyfield. Buster Douglas used his second life he received with the long count and cashed in. Not taking anything away from Povetkin because he has looked real good lately and his career boxing achievements are excellent from the Olympics to the Pros but we are talking about Mike Tyson. Keep it real man.
