Worse, if only because he cannot match the longevity.

funny thing is I agree with most of these picks

  5. i agree except , tyson would destroy norton, tyson would beat terrel, this man was a ****ing skinny, tyson would destroy patterson in 1 round, no offence to patterson but it is about styles, patterson was great fighter but he was smaller than marvis frazier with a weak chin. 2001 tyson would lose against jimmy young by ud , not tko. i agree that lyle would ko tyson99 but later.

  6. tyson2004 vs holmes80 would be simply a massacre

  7. tommy, how can i know the people who did vote tyson ?

Click on one of the numbers.

And I agree with janitor. It goes without saying really that a matter of longevity means he ends up doing worse.

I'd prefer if you'd started from Ali's title reign; from Liston I with an '86 Tyson.

    O.K

Ali's pre title opposition would have been easy meat for Tyson.

Tyson would undoubtedly have seen beating Sonny Liston as the potential pinacle of his career and would have focused all his energies on this objective. We would have seen the Tyson of the Spinks fight here. Given that Liston had an injury and had lost focus, I think that he would have prevailed. In the rematch Liston takes a dive.

Tyson would undoubtedly have lost focus and sucumbed to his deamons as he did in his own era. He would have met his Buster Douglas and we might be surprized who it turned out to be!

I'd be interested in matching-up Louis with Ali's opposition and vice-versa using this idea though.

No idea. Tyson just wouldn't last in with All the oppositon Ali had to face throughout his entire career. Theres no way a shot Tyson can withstand Frazier in 75, or any of their fights really

  14. joe louis in his 30s would be destroyed by foreman and defeated by frazier. probably even liston 64 would beat a prime louis,(styles). i think that lyle would ko a past prime louis.jimmy young would outbox him in the late 70s, shavers would have his chance with a lucky shot in 1977, and holmes would kill him in 1980. i pick louis to beat any other fighter.

Foremanhook's underhanded way of slighting Tyson once again. I think in terms of match ups I'm not sure why he started with Tyson from the Thomas fight? Not to mention he skipped the Berbick, Smith, Biggs, Tucker, Tillman and Stewart matches. There are inconsistencies in match ups.

I think the consensus is that Tyson would not have been able to match up well with Ali's opponents over the same duration simply because he would never would have had that kind of longevity. A more appropriate comparison would be Tyson fighting Dempsey, Marciano or Frazier's opponents.

And Tyson would have beaten Cleveland Williams and Kenny Norton.
He would not lose to Foreman in 1 round and he'd beat Lyle.
