    You sure McGrain?

Get a boxing buddy, get them to clear there mind.
When ready ask then 'Name the biggest boxer of the last 20 years'.
Some will say Manny, ODLH, PBF etc I'd bet most would say Tyson. Now that surely has to stand for something. When Ali gets ranked ATG quite a bit of the credit is put on what he done for the sport drawing interest etc, not just his fights. From that perspective Tyson has it in spades.

I like Mike. But he has never beaten a great heavyweight ever.Absolutely never. And you all know that that's true.Could he have been an all-time great based on his talent.Absolutely yes.But results and reality are evident. What has he done to indicate that he's a HOF heavyweight? His distractions and results would indicate that he's not one of the greatest.Look at the list of opponents and you'll see for yourself.

He beat very good heavyweights like they were nothing, and there were no great HW's on the horizon except an old Larry Holmes. Nobody knew Lennox at Mike's peak.

If you have eyes, you can watch Tyson fight at 19 yo and what he was doing to grown-ass, tough experienced fighters. If that doesn't convince you then there is nothing anyone can say that will.

tyson avoided any one that could beat him. he dodged what would have been the biggest fight in boxing history by not fighting foreman when foreman was chasing him all over the country, holyfield was the number 1 contender for almost 2 1/2 years before douglas brutely kod tyson, witherspoon and mercer were also dodged when he was offered big money to fight them instead he fought easier fighters like tillman, etc... for less money and risk.

that whole Foreman thing is a Teddy Atlas myth. I guarantee you Tyson wasn't scared of an old, slow George. Did you or did you not see how many times Holy hit George flush? Can you imagine Tyson landing like that?

Re Holy I don't remember any big drumbeat for Mike to fight him until he was well past his prime. What I remember is Tyson cleaning out the whole ****ing division until the only man left standing was Spinks, and he wasn't standing for long. It wasn't until after that period that you saw the emergence of Mercer, Holy etc as viable contenders.

Tyson's prime was short, and you can pretty much cut a clear line between pre-Givens Tyson and post-Givens Tyson, the man was fighting on tranquilizers. ****... rumors are Tyson had slacked off in his training a couple fights before he even got the belt from Spinks. Tyson is the classic case of massive unbelievable talent, sabotaged by his own personal problems. At least he held it together long enough to get the belt and put on a good show.

if that is the case then why did he not fight foreman for the biggest fight in boxing history. i did see how many times holyfield hit foreman but tyson did not move in and out like holyfield and tyson did not have the heart or talent or capabilty to go to plan b or c if needed and holyfield hit just as hard as tyson and was a lot better counter puncher then tyson ever dreamed of. also did you see how many time foreman hit holyfield tysons chin and heart were not in the same class as holyfield. do you really think tyson would have survived the 2nd round if he took the shots holyfield took. i did not think so. i always remember how easily an old shot holyfield hurt tyson almost with every punch that hit somewhat cleanly and how many times holyfield put him on the canvas once with a body shot imagine if foreman hit him even with a glancing shot. and i remember holyfield NEVER put foreman down only stuned him twice and each time foreman fought back especially in round 8 something tyson did not or could not do because he was so badly hurt. besides tyson could not fight backing up and foreman would have easily backed tyson up just like holyfield did to tyson and foreman did to holyfield. tyson could only fight coming forward and we all know that would have been suicide agianst foreman thats why when tyson and cus used watch fights of foreman cus told him it is good foreman is retired because he has the style you would not want to fight. TYSON WANTED NO PARTS OF FOREMAN THAT IS THE ONLY REASON THEY NEVER FOUGHT AND WE ALL KNOW FOREMAN WANTED TO FIGHT TYSON. and as far as cleaning out the division and fighting the best fighters when he was in his so called prime gross, green, jaco, mercedes, fergerson, zouski, marvis frasier, ratliff, boyd, hosea, ribalta, jameson, young, scaff, etc,,, is not fighting the best and cleaning out the divison. thats butterbean compition. once agian tyson NEVER BEAT an all time great heavywieght in thier prime lost to some after THIER prime but he never beat on of them in there prime.:patsch
