atsch No no no.....Foreman in the 90s was an average fighter with good power. Thanks. I suppose Mankind has no comeback so he scurried away.
As much as I would like to back Tyson in this one, he DID duck Foreman. His team was very wary of a bigger guy who hits harder, who hadn't got dropped in his 2nd career by the likes of Morrison, Foreman, and Briggs and was subtlely more intimidating electing to stand in the corner between rounds. Foreman was the ultimate possible mindf**k for Tyson.
LOL @ at you........Foreman was nothing but a circus show in the 80/90's, don't make stuff up before you were born. The only LIVE contender he ever fought was Holyfield and played punching bag for 12. Fact. And by his own admission why the Holyfield fight was pursued becuase he thought Holy was not a real heavyweight and did not punch accordingly. Source HBO live interview a week after the fight. After that he never fought ANYBODY with a pulse. LOL, his promoter Arum played the same card as he is playing with Pac now, nobody wants to fight me when the opposite is true. Anyway, the have two cannonfodder opponents in common, Saverese and Stewart, Tyson waxed then two no hoppers when he was already firing on not all cylinders in less than A ROUND COMBINED while big bad Foreman went life and death, swollen up like a drowing victim with those two ham and eggers for 20 rounds and needed a gift decision to win. LOL, hello Arum /Pac ? And there is C level Schultz, another fixed fight. BTW, when big bad Foreman won the title from glasschin lthwy Moorer by a lucky punch he was stripped of it because he refused to fight ANYBODY worth a damn. LOL, Tyson ducked him.......you need to sue sue your brain for non support.
of Foreman or as Mike put it There were journalists present when Tyson was saying he wanted no part of Foreman or as Mike put it "that ****in' animal." Foreman was in his 40's and he fought many of the same men that the young contenders fought. Champ Holyfield had wars with Qawi and Cooper and Foreman KO'd them both. Bowe fought Pierre Coetzer and Foreman KO'd Coetzer. Tyson fought Steve Zouski and Lou Savareese and Foreman beat them both. Don't forget Foreman KO'ing canadian HW champ Ken Lakusta and the 6'6 235 pound Gerry Cooney. How were those fighters considered bums against Foreman but considered suitable opponents for young prime fighters like Holy,Tyson and Bowe? Foreman did better against Prime Holyfield than Tyson did against old Holyfield! **** you, you're wrong! Show some respect for Foreman who was an all time great. Tyson was only good for 4 years. Tyson is 44 now right? and he cant compete anymore. Foreman was 45 and was the best HW around with the hardest punch and one of the best chins. Shultz lost because he couldnt take the title from an old man, instead he ran like a german *****. Foreman fought prime Briggs and didnt get hurt once. Vitali fought n old Briggs and Briggs was considered a threat? Please.
In regards to MMA beating out Boxing, that supposed HW title fight last Saturday on Fox was a ****ing joke. Lame amateur like punches delivered wrongly on to unskilled glass chin ***s. There is only one world HW champ and that man Is Wlad Klitschko. MMA is BS.
Why are tyson fans soo mad about him ducking foreman? It was clear as day that Foreman have always wanted to fight tyson but it was tyson the one that refuse to fight foreman. Tyson and his team ducked to fight Foreman, Lewis (in 95 or 96).
Tyson ducked Foreman? Is that **** still doing the rounds? Foreman wasnt even in a position to challenge Tyson until 1991 and thats when Tyson's life went downhill. Alex Stewart shredded Foreman's face to pieces. Look what Tyson did to Stewart....
What journalists? Why wasn't this news back then? Qawi was never a good heavyweight. Cooper was a replacement for a replacement. Nothing more needed. Lakusta? C'mon.. If Cooney was a good fighter when Foreman fought him then he was even better when Spinks stopped him. Tyson fought Zouski when he was 18-19 years old. He was barely a pro fighter then. And you count him as a credible fight? Savarese was blown out by Mike Tyson in an as well as Stewart who took Foreman the distance in what should have been a Foreman loss. Coezter was never special, and Bowe fighting him doesn't change anything. In fact Bowe was criticized for fighting him in the first place. Let me clear it up for you: 1. Foreman was offered $5 million in 1990 by Tyson's camp and turned it down saying he was "more afraid of King and the dotted line..." than he was of Tyson. 2. Foreman was offered $20 million in 1991 by Tyson's camp and turned it down because he wanted a rematch with Holyfield. 3. After Tyson came from prison a 3rd fight with a purse of $80 million was being discussed Foreman refused to take part because of Don King. How many times did Foreman's camp approach Tyson? Calling his name out on Television doesn't count if you don't sign the contract when it's brought in front of you. Unforgiven ^
Tyson ducked a prime Holyfield? You sir, are a ****ing idiot. The fight was signed but mike went to jail.....If you need more proof check out Ebay for the numerous programs, T-shirts, tickets & assorted memorabililia associated with their 1991 showdown
