You want to force Tunney to come to the modern era to face Tyson. Not that I think it matters, but why not force Tyson back to Tunney's era? Tunney's record and accomplishments and skill put him top ten all-time. I don't care how unpopular that opinion is. Tunney is blinked at. And that is an atrocity.

Tunney lost ONCE! And was knocked down only ONCE. and that was by a Jack Dempsey left hook, right and short left. That combo would have slaughtered anyone else. Dempsey was the best their ever was. Yes, I know he was done when he faced Tunney, but Tunney has other feats.

The Tyson that beat those guys you mentioned beat guys who were defeated before they stepped into the ring. They were terrified. That's why it looked like that.
Also, Holmes was fat and old. I saw that fight. Holmes was grbage. He couldn't move. Tyson just exploded on a human punching bag. That's not impressive to me.

I am saying that Tyson showed a momentary tiny glimpse of his old self and Lewis looked disorganised, thankfully for Lewis Mike was drugged up, out of shape, years past his best and in the throes of a mental breakdown with zero confidence and only in there for a payday.

Just watch that first round again but imagine the monstrous force of nature from 1986 in there instead. Lewis would be just another highlight reel KO, too slow and clumsy with a glass jaw. Prime Tyson would see those jabs coming a mile off, slip everything Lewis threw, get in close and just take him apart.

Think about it, it took Lewis 8 rounds to beat a Tyson that was reduced to nothing more than a nostalgic punching bag, prime Tyson never got touched by faster fighters than Lewis. This is an unwinnable fight for Lewis, Mike could KO him in any round or beat him comfortably by decision.
