Mike Tyson Prison Fights

I don't have a ****ing clue whether it's true or not. The posters in here that are stating Tyson is some sort of unknockoutable, unbeatable beast are smoking some serious **** though.

Buster Douglas ring any bells?

And what would happen if Tyson hit someone without gloves? I dunno. Ask Mitch Green, or guy in the hotel he whacked (who was hardly a giant and still seems to be living or breathing).

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't kill somebody of reasonable size, especially somebody obviously large and insane enough to give themselves a chance to beat Tyson.

I mean ****, it's not 3 minute rounds with corner men and everything.

 

you obviously don't know how prison works, a man like tyson wouldn't be in population. The separate celebs or people with any statue because they don't want them influencing inmates, the story is bull**** there was to much money invested in Tyson for guards to set up street fights.

I would not be shocked. There would definetly be people stupid enough to want to fight Tyson inside a jail and you get people in there who are ridiculously huge. My mate just got out of a juvinile and told me there was 20 year old in there benching 220kg and sqating even more. If you think Mike Tyson would not of been training much at all it is not too hard to imagind a 20 stone roid head taking a soft jab or two and then getting him to the floor. Someone that size who was a high school wrestler would probly be able to choke him out if he was on the floor. A fully fit and ready prime Mike would KO almost anyone of his era including most MMA guys of that time before he went to jail but inside he could probly only do basic exercises like press ups, sit ups, squats and shadow boxing and he will have only trained 10% of what he used to in there which meant he was never the same again even after he got out.

 

Possible? Yes. Probable. No

In my experience, most street fights end up on the ground. Unless the person is knocked out cold, which is what would probably have happened if the stories are true.

Like the TC said though, they figured to take take Tyson to the ground? I'm not sure why everyone in here believes that this couldn't happen. Who in their right mind would try to box tyson? It's not a boxing match. How good is Tyson's takedown defense anyway? How good is Tyson's sprawling technique?

I still doubt that anyone would want to fight Tyson but if they did, someone with a decent wrestling background has a decent shot at taking Tyson to the ground. Unless Tyson had any kind of ground game, he would be usless on his back.

 

I have to agree with this.

Some guy who has nothing better in life to brag about than being in prison is trying to make himself feel better. It's a BS story.

 

street is not prison man, be realistic, in phils, a small guy can beat tyson in just 1 shot........ a stab in the neck, he'll sleep forever for sure!!!

Wait a minute, why is everyone assuming that if an inmate managed to take Tyson down that they would be able to do anything once there? Oh, wait, did he go to that prison where every convict is a former DII wrestler with a couple of years of Judo under their belt? Was he in prison in Brazil with an elite team of ju-jitsu fighters? No he wasn't. If you think street fighting experience magically imbues you with the ability and know how to perform guillotine chokes and arm bars then you're simply ******ed. Watch some prison fight videos on youtube if you don't believe me, most of the time it's fairly wild swinging with some sloppy crappling thrown in.

And for the people saying that there would be some 'huge psychotic maniacs' in there who would possibly wail on him, hey guess what, Tyson was kind of a huge psychotic maniac.

 

I call BS. Everyone knows Prime Mike was unbeatable in the ring.

He wasn't too far removed from that version in jail.

Without rules and gloves he would flatout become a Weapon Of Mass Destruction.

Look at Mitch Blood Green's face after 12 rounds with Mike in the ring, then look at it after his short street fight with Mike.

Tyson would've murdered a whole cell block in one go in a prison fight.

Not as if any of these guys would've known how to fight, or else they'd be in the MMA (the UFC especially for the skinhead/redneck prisoners).

quite possible. i recall seeing on the news around that time, a story of tyson geting in a scrap because some guy was pissed that tyson was taking too long on the phone. all the families have their gladiators and if the shot callers say you fight... you fight. whether tyson took some beats is another story. its funny how some fans make these boxers out to be supermen who can only lose to someone with 50 pro fights and there isnt 1 coward who has ever fought in a ring. i know boxing and ive seen some really vicious prison hits one on one, unarmed. they just got an opportunity and took it. a 250 lb gladiator wraps himself around tyson and grabs a hold of his nuts and all of a sudden you got a good fight.

i'm sure its a BS story but its believable...Tyson wasn't trained in takedowns at all...if randy couture in his prime fought Mike Tyson in his prime in an MMA fight, Couture would probably win because he would completely avoid standing up with him
