Off topic i know, but surely the way he acted, and was already percieved and portrayed by the media didnt help his case. I dont know if Tyson admitted to the charges or not.

My fave quote was when he was getting interviewed, and the interviewer says "You seem very agressive"
Mike just cuts in with "its a fight"

He was always very arrogant. Very early in his pro career interviewers would politely introduce him to the audience, talk up his victories and then ask him a question. He would hesitaite for a long time, stare the interviewer down and declare pompously, "Enough respect. Now, I will answer your question." He actually became more approachable and down to earth later in his great career. Maybe he felt that fighting first in Canada and then out of Britain that he never got enough respect from the U.S. media. Wlad gets a lot of bad press from the U.S. media simply because he is a European based fighter so maybe Lewis had a right to be a bit defensive.

The Lewis-Tyson press conference will always be remembered. I for one was sad to see the way things unfolded with Mike going berserk. What he said may have been unwise, but the guy who provoked Mike clearly **** himself when Mike tutned the tables on him!

I didn't see the guy make any effort to challenge or confront Mike when Tyson shouted abuse at him. The guy obviously thought he was being clever, but the tide quickly turned on him!

I actually think some of the Lewis-Tyson press conference was staged in proposition for promotion of the bout. However, something went wrong & Mike weren't having any of it.

When the **** hits the fan, Tyson is not hiding or trying to back away. Lewis hit him cleanly on the head without gloves, but still, Tyson was not relenting.

By that time though, 2002, Tyson's career was simply a circus! Great, great fighter though in his heyday!

Tyson really blew his career after the Buster Douglas fight, if he had been more of a mentally stable fighter he could've retired undefeated. And Holyfield would've kicked his ass had that fight happened in the early 90's.

I can't understand a word of his ramblings.

In any case, the 'woulda/coulda/shoulda' baggage that comes with him is tiring.

I just know what he did.
