er Like Larry Holmes, Tony Tucker and Tony Tubbs?

The closest thing to a James Toney type fighter that Tyson fought, was Tony Tubbs

Tyson cleans Toneys clock within 2 rounds.

Toney got schooled by Sam ****ing Peters.
How many fighters did Peters ever school?

In his prime. He would do it with ease.

I had this conversation the other day with a friend of mine,. and we quickly came to the conclusion that a prime Tyson gbeats the Klits. All this clinching that the klits do would not have made a difference, he was awesome on the inside and would have rattled the body on them both. A complete beast of a boxer with only one intention in his prime. Other than the Klits Jab , im not even sure that would cause Tyson problems. Most of the boxers who launched a punch a Tyson got slapped back twice as hard and then were almost fearful of letting go. A terrific counter puncher, and the ability to chuck a punch in such a short distance and hit full power within 12 to 18inches. How the hell do you deal with that. Bobbing and weaving, prowling round the ring, Evil little sh*t...hahaha

The short effective punching range/power of Tyson is very accurate.

Look at his fight vs Botha and the punch that ended it. It travelled, what, 12" at the most and knocked out a 230lb man flat on his back.

A body shot with leverage or an uppercut with force vs Wladimir on the inside while clinching.....could be lights out.

Very true, i think we are all aware and seen in most of his fights that he regular threw a right body shot followed by an immediate right uppercut. These 2 shots are thrown at close range . His Body shots alone were crippling enough , i just cant see how anyone could deal with a Prime Tyson. My opinion, but the guy was a hungry animal and he wanted it.

I am a fan of both Vlad and Vitali. They are both huge skilled guys and gifted for their size. However both are too slow and too awkward for an aggressive prime Mike Tyson. Speed, head movement, power, aggression, great inside game, zero fear, and a decent chin I believe are exactly what it takes to beat the Klitschkos and that was all rolled up to perfection in a pre prison Iron Mike.

Pre-prison Tyson could be tied down with ease. Unless he gets DQd for holding, Wlad would tire him out and KO him late. Mike would have his moments in the early rounds but once we gasses out he becomes a sitting duck.

pity he didn't gass out once then. or did you mean 'we' as in you?

tson ko wlad early, or late, or wlad runs all night to lose on points.

Only way Tyson wins is in the first three rounds, after that he get's KO'd. I wouldn't rule out peak Vitali from 1998-2000 KO'ing Tyson early either.

I think a prime Tyson beats Wlad rather easily, Vitali is a much tougher call.

Bash Black praise white in every post. At least you didn't bring up Wilder for a change.

You don't know what you're talking about. Watch the fight with fringe contender Bonecrusher Smith, we had another thread about it. Tyson looked gassed and uninspired after being hugged and leaned on for 12 rounds.

the fight that he won, yes, and yet you are stupid enough to say 'you don't know what you are talking about'. What alternative universe are you from? You should go back there.

So thanks for the offer, but no I saw the fight live when it happened and my opinion was accurate back then as it is now.

If you knew anything about Tyson then you'd be circling his Larry Holmes fight, where he was made to look shoddy for 4 rounds of ultrasmart boxing from Larry.
