Mike Tyson told the ladies of The View that he's "totally broke" after excessive spending and having "a lot of fun."

The retired boxer says he is now struggling to make ends meet and is living paycheck to paycheck. However, he's absolutely content living with his third wife Lakiha Spicer and their 16-month-old daughter, Milan.
    Tyson says:
"I'm totally destitute and broke. But I have an awesome life, I have an awesome wife who cares about me. I'm totally broke. I had a lot of fun. It (going broke) just happened. I'm very grateful. I don't deserve to have the wife that I have; I don't deserve the kids that I have, but I do, and I'm very grateful."

Usually this kind of talk is a prelude to a comeback. . .didn't Hearns fight in 06?

Mike can beat oversized light heavies and cruisers for 2 mill a fight. He should just do it. Get a good matchmaker. Not the ones who ****ed you by getting Williams and McBride. Way to tall and heavy at this point in his career.

I don't want Iron Mike to fight again cuz he seems to have found peace finally in life. But **** a couple of fights and he will be able to pull in some good money

Problem is that he could make $2m today and possibly he could only get 10% of the earnings and 90% goes to creditors. He may have very little incentive to make any money at this point.

He might be totally broke but in all of his recent interviews he seems happier and sounds more educated than the Iron Mike who had a 20 year carrer in the ring.

It goes to show you that money doesn't buy happiness and I just hope Mike is content for the rest of his life. If he makes a comeback, gets knocked out a couple times, and makes a little cash then that's cool but I wanna see Mike happy and his family healthy.

Hey Cuba when was this article dated?? Cause that pic is old as, recently mikes lost a ton of weight, he looks great now & i saw him doing some talkback t.v show last week...If this is true, its a shame....once the biggest drawcard in the division reduced to nothing.....

If hes guna come back it has to be planned properly, with low-rent opposition for tune ups AND he has to have a focused trainer.......if Don (satan) King gets involved mike might as well start digging his own grave

If he's really telling the truth and not speaking relatively to how rich he once was then it really is sad. I mean how can anyone get through the money he's had? Most of us could live a good life on 100th of the money he's had. He must have been extremely irresponsible with it...but he probs would say so himself now. I hope he's quit the drugs which can suck up lots of money. Any money he can earn now ( and I'm sure thats more than most of us can just trading off his name doing appearances and talks etc) if he spends carefully and wisely I doubt he'd be living on the breadline. I'm sure he's "broke" only in relative terms. My guess is he's still well off compared to most of us working class types.

    Here's a good plan:

    -Botha in South Africa

    -Valuev, wherever

    -Holyfield at Las Vegas

Three fights that should bring enough money to blow in a year.
