I remember the footage of Page flooring Tyson....

I remember several years ago when all this Kronk footage of high quality, top tier guys sparring came out. Love it.

 

McCall was great sparring for Tyson.

 

Does Oliver stagger Tyson just after the 7 minute mark......

 

Oliver Mccall and Larry Holmes definately had the best training in history.

 

Tyson don't look too clever in there. Winging hooks his footwork not that great. I get the feeling this must have been early in camp as he looked good on the night.

Holmes trained with Ali when he was young, and the likes of a young Witherspoon as well, correct? Who else?

I think people forget how much preparation goes into a boxing match. I think a large part of being a great fighter is being a well prepared one. Most greats do untold amounts of work in the gym, that the fans will never see. One of the reasons footage like this is so great.
