Mike Tyson talks HOF election, life

you know an interesting part was when he says his first pro fight was his big impact, how he and d-mato were coming to the ring.

"We were going to take over the world, but nobody else knew who those two guys were going to be. I saw that picture like two or three months ago, and I thought that defined me. Me and this old man, we had dreams."

 

Tyson was a legend in my eyes. Like so many posters on ESB, he was the reason I got into boxing. I can't think of one fighter that comes close to the excitement he brought to the ring with him come fight night. From his wild interviews to his sometimes violent rage in the ring, you always felt captivated by his presence. Wether it was knocking guys out with picture perfect left hooks or trying to break another fighters arm, the man left you glued to your seat just anticipating what Iron Mike might say or do next.

Thanks Mike for all the great memories, you came from nothing and at one time were the most recognized athlete on the planet. You did what most men could only dream of doing.

 

I like how he says "I didn't do too bad."

And he happens to be THE Mike Tyson, a name that will be remembered for many years after he's gone.

 

Which begs the question... Is Cus in the HOF?
