Well, the film studio would need its insurance policy and a new studio.

Little bully wouldn't say that to the bigger bully. Tysons mental make-up does't suggest he would actually make a comment like that to a man like Liston, or a Foreman. Though R.Ruddick is a big man, he never had that rep as a thug. Tyson unlike Ali would be intimidated by Liston. (Though I believe Ali was too, he was able to hide it better) Outside of M.Green (who, wasn't close to Liston in ability) the fighters he fought for the most part were classy, and behaved civilly.

    Stare down
Or perhaps a slight "wtf" expression with a confused smirk towards the reporters.

Liston put up with the childish punk **** and doggerel from Clay but he was from a very differnt time and place when it came to that particular line of **** from Tyson....if they were in the same room, Liston's response would have been very direct and primal...it would have probably taken all the security, police and maybe even a S.W.A.T. team to separate him from Tyson. Liston was a very bad man.

If it weren't for a whole team of live bodies seperating them, Liston would have mauled Clay in those episodes that happened leading up to their fight. It would have been outside the safe niceties of boxing rules and referees, etc.,....there wouldn't have been no fight on 2/24/64...Liston would have been put in jail from what he would have done to Clay.

It may have taken a prime George Foreman to withstand Liston's potential rage in an outside the ring ropes scenario.

The way you guys talk about Tyson as some kind of secretly-yellow-inside bully seems like wishful thinking to me. I've seen nothing to suggest that Tyson would have been scared of Sonny Liston.

How about the fact that he literally admitted he'd be scared of Liston and cried upon seeing his footage out of fear?

If you listen to some of things he's said. Some / a lot of the things he's done, inside and outside of the ring, theirs quite a bit to suggest mentally he was weak. Typical bully. Biting off Holyfields ears? Tellling a man he would make him his girlfriend? Trying to break another fighters arm? Bragging about bouncing a woman off a wall? eating another fighters kids? Bully talk. But Liston was a bigger bully. Liston was alleged a leg breaker for the mob. Dumping police officers in garbage cans etc. Tyson never had to deal with a man like Liston. And in a who would blink first situation I'd take Liston.

Tyson would go to say something as he looked into Listons eyes like a giant squid staring back at him unblinking full of malice and probably not say anything.

Even Ali knew where to draw the line. I don't think Ali could have taken Liston in a knock down, drag out alley fight. Especially the younger, 22 year old Ali. Tyson would likely have been more dangerous in a street fight, but the point is I think if Tyson said that to him things would get physical.

I chuckled imagining this and then after the door slams shut we hear a car door quickly closing and speeding away.
