I went and saw Mike Tyson's one man show sunday in Westbury, NY. It was great, he is quite a character, very entertaining. I laughed almost the whole way through it, except some of the darker moments he talked about. I bought the expensive tickets so I got a meet and great afterwards. This was the first time I was actually star stuck to meet someone I got a picture with him and talked to him briefly such a nice guy. I highly recommend going if you get a chance as an iron mike fan it was worth it 10 fold. My only criticism would be I wished he talked a little more about his fights than his personal life shenanigans but still a great show!

I think Tyson faced MORE pressure than ANY other Champion in history. And as other Champs 'lost' there best years for various reasons, Tyson lost his to that.

because at his best he really was "the baddest man on the Planet" and arguably the best HW that ever lived.

He gaves a blow for blow recap of his street fight with mitch green which was Hilarious reminded me of Chapelle show with Rick James and Charley Murphy. He talked about finding out that Don King was charging him $8,000 a week for towels, yes TOWELS. That was just a minor charge in the contract too. He talked about how he was railroaded with the **** charge and he to this day denies it. He provided interesting details of the case as well such as Washington have claimed **** once before, he had a tax lawyer as his defense attorney and if he would of taken a plea bargin he probably would of got off pretty easily or done very short time but he insisted on pleading not guilty despite facing up to 63 years in prison. Talked about how Cus used to wake him up all hours of the night when he was dead asleep to say things like "you were getting hit with jabs today!" and stuff like that. Told the Teddy Atlas story from his perspective which was eye opening. Talked about getting high and almost hitting a cop car. Robin givens and her mother diagnosing him and having a doctor load him up on prozac. All just really interesting stories

He said that Teddy's niece and Mike were friends and they walked home from school together a lot and hung out. he was like 15 and she was 12 and he said keep in mind I was an awkward as hell teenager with pimples and everything despite having a man's body. One day they were walking home and Mike said something along the lines of "You ever have a fantasy or a vision in your head and picture it going one way and then it totally goes wrong and you're like ABORT ABORT!!! thats what happened haha I didn't know how to be around women like that and so I grabbed her ass and immediately knew it was the wrong decision and she got upset and then later I'm walking to the gym and Teddy is kind of hanging out in the alleyway and he had a bad back from a car accident and he was always cracking it like he had turrets or something. I saw him crack his back twice and walk up real fast to me and he had a big ass gun and he shoved my against a wall and put the gun to my head and said IF YOU EVER TOUCH ANYONE IN MY FAMILY AGAIN YOU'RE DEAD! and then he shot a bullet up in the air to scare me. Cus chewed him out and he was gone the next day. Teddy's whole tough guy claim to fame is that he trained mike tyson and put a gun up to his head. I was 15, he was a grown man I wouldn't go around bragging about having to pull a gun on a kid because you couldn't fight him fair. Teddy was just Cus' assistant he didn't really do much for me. We've never spoke since, he likes to think he's a tough guy but he was born from a wealthy family and his father was a doctor. I don't know any gangsters from Staten Islands with a doctor for a father." Something to that effect of course thats not verbatim but I put the quotes to show like Mike's side of it

The book by Peter Heller is really good, it goes into depth about alot of the stuff mentioned

Tyson stated that living with Ruth Roper was like living with someone from the KKK because she used to look down on black people
