Seems like he gets an unfairly bad reputation for being a "Dirty fighter" 1. Holyfield head butts and nut cracks and incessively clinches tyson for 11 rounds straight and ref doesn't call any of it nor deduct point 2. Holyfeild 2, Holyfield runs the same bull****, Tyson corner and Tyson complain all round long to the ref, as they complained in the previous fight about excessive clinching 3. Tyson retailiates by biting Holyfield because the referee clearly is not enforcing the rules (no clinching, no low blows,no head butts) from a known dirty fighter. Tyson gets DQ'ed 4. Botha excessively clinches and should get points deducted, instead the ******ed referee deducts points from mike for twisting his arm. Despite the fact that had Botha been following the rules, mike, would not have the chance to do so. Its like if I punch a guy in the balls and he knees me in the face, who is really in the wrong. My head had no business being down by his knee except so i could beam him in the nutsack. I notice such a pattern in almost everyone of tyson's fight save lewis, he lost fight to nothing but a wing of dirty fighters using illegal boxing moves to clinch excessively on the inside or to elbow him in the head or head butt and ball punch him. Although I do not agree with those who say tyson was invincible, I see only one real loss Tyson had that did not involve him being significantly fouled or the victim of rule breaking dirty fighters.
I think you need to see these fights again. Evander did not clinch for 11 rounds. Clinching was a part of the tactics to stop Tysons's attacks, which is completely allowed by the rules. I also remember several times where Tyson was hanging on for deer life, and Holyfield working to get out his clinch as well. It certainly goes both ways in this fight. And allthough there was some clinching, it was an entertaining match with some really nice exchanges. I still haven't heard of any commentators demanding a point deduction in this fight. Regarding Holyfields head usage. As far as I remember he has never been deducted a point because of that. When cuts have happened they have been unintentional. Holyfield has a very special way of doing his infighting, and he has always been prepared to dive in for some slugging, when he did never did go for a headbutt, but it was rather a result of his way to box. Tyson fans keep nagging about this. Get over it, he got schooled both times. And no, you can eat someone because you don't like their boxing style. Only Tyson fans call Holyfield a dirty boxer. And your Botha point was just hillarious. It's not OK to try to break someones arm because you don't like that he clinches? What's next, shoot him if he moves away from your punches? Your logic is not very logical.
you are dumb Tyson dug his grave with his own shovel, and he deserved every bit of negative criticism he ever received Through Tysons entire career there has always been people like you and the sheep in his little circle of idiots that tried to make excuses for his behavior. What it all boils down to is this. . . he was an over rated bully with a fragile mind that fell at the hands of every opponent who didnt fear him.
I cna't find the video right now but there is one on youtube showing well over 24 low blows and head butts in that first fight and it is what lead up to Tyson biting holyfield. and a clinch is an illegal maneuver in boxing, it is boxing not wrestling, it was only really tolerated in the past on a low level when a fighter was in clear trouble (ie on verge of being knocked down) and used it to prevent from going down. Clinching to avoid fighting or infighting is clearly a violation of the rules, hell clinching is a clear violation of the rules, and if you do it more than 2 times it is suppose to be a point deduction. It is referees who have not been properly trained that cause a prevalence of dirty fighters today. Could depend on the commentator, different commentator's have different biases for varying reasons, but I didn't see the commentators complain about all the elbows, head butts and nut *******s that Holyfield was throwing either. So either they could not see them from the angle they were at, or they simply are not trained enough to be able to view the action in high speed and are believing that elbow blows look like punches *after all holyfield does work hard on being dirty My point on botha and holyfield, is a foul for a foul if the referee isn't going to enforce the rules, then why is it ok to wrestle and clinch and head butt and nutcrack but it is wrong to twist the arm of the guy who is doing the illegal move or bite his ear after he butts you? If you believe a clinch is a legal move then explain why fights are stopped for excessive clinching, why the referee breaks a clinch, why the referee says stop clinching?
Tyson was an animal who would break every rule going to win a fight. And he often did, like when he bit off Holyfields ear, because he realised Holyfield was cleaning his clock again and he had no LEGAL answer to it.
