I remember watching an interview with RJJ and he was asked whether he regreted moving back to LHW after the John Ruiz fight and he said the only way he was gonna stay at Heavyweight was if he could fight Tyson.

If this fight happened in 2003 how would it go?

Tyson was coming off the back of a loss to Lewis and then went on to lose to Danny Williams. If RJJ could repeat his performance against Ruiz I don't see why he can't win. Obviously RJJ had no chance against Lewis and the Klits.

after the Jones fight, i remember big George Foreman saying he could beat lewis and clean out the heavy's.

I couldnt see it myself, lewis would have beat him i think.

Roy vs Tyson 2003 you would have had to favour Roy. Roy looked awesome against Ruiz and Tyson wasn't the same at this point.

However Tyson would have had a good punchers chance.

If Tyson catches him its all over

And in 2003 Mike had enough left to dispose of Roy IMO

Jones vs. Tyson has been on here several times already.
97 Jones vs 88 Tyson ends with Jones hittin' Mike with a Hill style body shot and Mike throwing an uppercut both Ko'd.. a brutal draw!

He would be KO'd by Tyson, taken that he go back to LHW and had his brains scrambled by Tyson his resume after that would be more like:

    (Loss) Tarver I: UD12
    (Loss) Tarver II: TKO2
    (Loss) Johnson: TKO4
    (Loss) Tarver III: TKO3
    (Win) Ajamu: UD12
    (Win) Hanshaw: UD12
    (Loss) Trinidad: SD12
    (Loss) Calzaghe: TKO8 (on cuts)
    (Win) Sheika: UD12
    (Loss) Lacy: KO12
    (Loss) Green: TKO1
    (Loss) Hopkins: TKO11

i think jones would sink to the canvas and start crying in fright as soon as tyson stepped into the ring.

In 03 against clifford etienne, although the fight only went the usual 1 round, Tyson physically looked great & seemed to be much more focused than he did the previous year against lennox.....Tysons chin is decent, & i think he'd be able to weather anything roy threw at him, while returning some half decent bombs....

If Tyson gassed after 4 or so rounds as would be expected then id favour roy, but im going to go with my heart and say Tyson KO5 :D

I've always wondered bout this fight.....i wonder why Tyson didnt consider it? :hey

Roy wouldnt be able to keep even a shot Mike off him.

2002 Mike arguably won the 1st rd against Lewis, no way Roy wld handle Mikes first 2rds, especially when Mike wouldn't be scared of Roys power.

2003 Tyson would have had a punchers chance and a small one at that.

Prime Mike would have annihilated any version of Roy.

i dont see why RJJ cant win, IF hes able to survive the first 5 rounds, he can dominate Tyson. Although thats a strong IF, i personally believe tyson takes him out in Round 3

All it would take is one shot, and in '03 Mike was still capable of landing a few. I got Mike by brutal KO. Roy's been KOd by much lighter punchers.
