    interesting bout.

i dont think tysons bull rushing will discourage quarry as most heavies, he is more used to it. he can take enough of tyson shots. not all of them but enough to get by and not get flashed.

but i peronally feel quarry is too small. he cant jab away and he doesnt fight in flurries enough like holyfield.

so maybe a ko or a ud by tyson

Tyson UD but someone will make a post in this thread claiming that Quarry would beat Tyson because he would'nt be scared of him   .

    Tyson wins by early knockout.

I have trouble imagining this bout as competitive. Quarry was too easy to hit and didn't have the firepower to hold off Tyson as the Frazier fights showed.

I like Tyson here he has the power, more than Frazier, imo ,the hand speed and the movement to give Quarry real trouble ,I think he stops Jerrry in side 8 rds.

Quarry would take a bad beating... he's good against big, slow punchers ... but Tyson is big not slow and hits awfully hard. I think it'll end as tragically as the Frazier fights.

i agree, most likely tyson wins this.but remember how many fighters quarry beat mac foster, ron lyle both big punchers foster's punch was like a mule kick, quarry surprised a lot of fighters mostly only slick boxers beat him like ali, norton.

Yeah, but Tyson was slick compared to Lyle and Shavers. He was a much more accomplished puncher technically and much quicker. Can't see Quarry surviving for too long against Tyson.

it would be a war while it lasted, and i wouldn't be surprised if quarry didn't hurt tyson he could punch a lil.tyson was tough but he didn't have the chin of george chuvalo

I love Jerry Quarry, but any manager or promotor would have to be cruel as hell to put him in with Tyson.

tyson would slaughter quarry easily. I think Quarry vs foreman is a much better pick. Foreman ducked Jerry Quarry and even admitted this, Jerry matched up very well vs foreman.

BIG DEE HERE= This one is wide open as Tyson crumbled against anyone who
wasn`t afaid of him and I guarantee that Quarry wouldn`t be afraid of Tyson and would be right up in his face. The Quarry that fought Frazier in 1969
in MSG. would be able to whip his ass. Frazier at that time was very hard to
hit unlike the one that came later. Frazier was always moving his head in the late 1960s and a clean shot to the chin was always a lucky punch if you connected with his chin like Bonavana did in their 1966 fight. Quarry could never hit him cleanly on the chin. Tyson on the other hand wasn`t all that hard to hit if you put the fear of God into him but few did because of his
reputation. When he was going to fight Douglas I told enybody who would listen that Douglas was going to KO him because of two reasons 1, he wasn`t afraid of him and 2, he had what a fighter with the peekaboo style
feared the most if he and his trainer has any brains and they didn`t a great uppercut. Douglas was the only opponent that Tyson defened against that had a great uppercut. Cus D`Amato knew this because of the Patterson fights with Liston and would never have fought Douglas. Well D`Amato was dead and could say nothing and the trainers fought Douglas anyway and
Tyson almost had his head removed by Douglas`s uppercut, the rest is history
Quarry had a good uppercut and hit a lot harder than Holyfield. If Holyfield
could hurt Tyson then Quarry damn well could as Tyson didn`t take it on the chin any better than a lot of the guys Quarry KOed and beat.

I like Quarry but I pick Mike to stop him somewhere between rounds 4-6.
