If Tyson lost all his "Big" fights than how the hell did he become undisputed and linear HW champ? Something Vitali has NOT even come close to approaching, further more Douglas was a good solid guy in the 80s, not an ATG or anything but a ranked contender who had previously fought a HW Champ. BTW Tyson won all his "Big" Fights in the 80s, Tucker, Spinks, Berbick, Holmes etc. And has unified titles on more than 1 occasion.

Vitali on the other hand just wins unrecognized WBOGUS belt, vacant belt or beats interim champ. He is also the one who lost all his "big" fights (Byrd, Lewis) Furthermore Byrd landed nearly the same amount of shots that Vitali did plus Vitali was tired and getting backed up while Byrd was coming on strong, So saying only won 1 rd is total BS made up to look vitali better than he is. BTW you still haven't answered my question.

I wouldn't go quite that far BUT Vitali and all the other fighters of this era certinly wouldn't beat him.

tyson couldnt destroy bonecrusher smith (6.6) or tony tuncker (6.5) in tysons prime so therez no stand out reason to think tyson would have destroyed vitali that early

Perhaps not but Tyson would still win and likely by stoppage as well.

When I watch vids of Mike training in his prime, as well as his best moments of his career, I REALLY struggle to think of ANY fighters that would either:

    a. beat him handily, ie. without a nightmare of a time.

    b. beat him decisively; prime mike just had so much to bring to the table. He was shockingly effective.

I don't mind Vitali but his resume and career lack depth and I get a feeling his success comes mainly from his size, strength and chin. If he were 6'3 he wouldnt be anywhere near as successful imo. Mike is just leagues ahead of him in terms of skill and accomplishments.

I do enjoy watching Vitali fight and I do respect him, but he just isnt on the same level as a prime Tyson.

I'd like to throw into the mix that I think VK's chin is a little over-rated ..

Both men r beasts. Tyson obviously the better boxer. Vitalis range is going 2 give him a lot of problems. Green, Tucker Bonecrusher Smith were lack luster fights even tho Mike won them. I think Vitalis chin is better then Tysons. No way Mike knocks him out. Vitali stood up 2 bombs thrown by Lewis and Sanders who r comparable in power 2 Mike. It was said Mcall had his # during sparring sessions. Maybe thats 1 reason we never saw Tyson vs Mcall. Anyway TYson by UD or Vitali by late TKO.

Peter was the greatest HW in the world on this forum until Vitali embarassed him.

Seems many folk in these here parts forget that little piece of history.

Vitali couldn't KO Hoffman who is levels below Smith, so whats your pt? Both were in survival mode which is why they went the distance. BTW to the dumbasses who say Tyson struggled with Green, Smith etc keep in mind he lost 1 or maybe 2 rds in these fights. Just because a fight goes the distance doesn't make it competitive.
