its a shame because the fight was just starting to get interesting when golota quit. tyson was already puffed and starting to get just a little predictable. had golota come out for the third that could have been a very different fight.
Golota while still seemed able to fight he was clearly hurt as he had a concussion and a neck injury. It was a shame as Golota seemed to be getting into the fight but Tyson had already dished out a lot of punishment. It was Tysons last good performance he was pretty much shot after this fight.
If Golota had the balls to continue, Tyson would've broken more bones, then brutally KO'd the big twat.
pretty much what all of you said, tyson busted his face up and he quit. but alot of you would done the same too.
This was sold as tyson's last fight..we all knew it was a waffle to buy more tickets etc.. I was nervous for Tyson, he came in with a big lay off at that time, so anything could happen? When tyson dropped Andrew i sprung up with hope and hoped Mike would finnish him off. what a huge let down.. Oh then i heard it was a no contest due to mike having mary jane in his system. what wa sthe damn point?
Is the shattered bone from a headbutt, elbow, or the big right? BTW, that right hand from Mike would have put many, if not most, heavyweights to sleep. Golota got up before the count started, and people way his chin was bad. atsch
People have said alot of **** about Golota. They can't see past all the negative to notice that he was a fighter with tons of talent. Just couldn't put all the pieces together to come out with a big win. Minus being ripped off in the Byrd fight, of course.:fire
I don't believe Andrew was in it for the money. I believe he wanted a clean fight with Tyson after all the pressure from the media calling him a dirty fighter. Golota got hit hard by Mike but what frustrated him was that the ref didn't warn Mike a single time for the elbows and headbutts. Took me about 13 minutes to read and comprehend your post but Bowe wasn't good enough to catch Golota in the nuts. BTW, it was Bowe that started fighting dirty, not Golota.
no dispute there, you're 100% right, just saying the average person would have quit or wouldnt even get in the same ring with a guy like tyson. you gotta be a different kind of individual to be a boxer. golota definitely embarassed himself, his trainer was pleading with him to not do it. but looking at his entire history, its not all that surprising.
