Most of Tysons finishing shots were setup on, or from the inside. Tyson was effective from mid range as well but this stuff about him not being comfortable on the inside is not true. Because he held and grappled in clinches at times didnt make him a bad infighter. He also did a lot of damage when he found the room to punch. When an opponent ties you up you have to look for a way out of it before you can punch.
Even against Holmes he was doing most of his fighting inside, even though he landed that righthand from mid range the finishing shot was on the inside.

Sure it does. Foreman was signed to Arum, but he would just have to share more money with King if he gave him options on his future fights. As Ive said in the past, King would make any fight, as long as he was holding the cards for the winner, a mistake he vowed not to repeat after the Douglas fight.

 

I think all those videos confirm that Tyson was not comfortable on the inside. He doesn't let his hands go enough and his stance is not solid.

But of course he could do serious damage on the inside.

 

All those videos showcased stoppages from infighting. I guess he was so uncomfortable it produced knockouts?:blood

love Big George,but it does seem unreasonable that come back George could beat Tyson,yet every time I watch one of my favorite fight highlights, of Tyson on the floor trying to put in his mouth piece after getting floored by Buster Douglas.....I don't know.

 

One thing's for sure, this fight would have been bombs away, possibly with both men down. I still have to go with Big George in such a fight.

 

If Foreman could withstand the first round assault, I would give him a good chance. Tyson's style is taylor made for Foreman...coming forward, not running, not a lot of lateral movement. Foreman had an iron chin and amazing resiliency in his older years. I like Foreman by TKO in 5

 

If Foreman can withstand the first round assault, the second round would be similar except if Foreman is still standing at the end of it he'd be in worse shape than he was for the end of the first round.

@ DocDevil Buster Douglas had the kind of handspeed that enabled him to beat Tyson to the punch. Foreman doesn't. He had power but to stop Mike you need to use combinations you need to keep him from landing and if that's not possible, you lose...
