The terminology you're using "MMA stuff" and the fact that you think it's an actual discipline is laughable. MMA is not a form of combat. If you want to talk about ignorance here.... Take a look in the mirror buddy! How many street fights have you seen that don't involve at least a little bit of hugging, tussling if not outright grappling? Of course Tyson could KO any of these guys. BUT if he doesn't... and they're able to shoot and complete a takedown, clinch or drag him to the ground... He's 110% finished.
Tyson is going to stand there and let some clown tackle him? I wonder how many fights you have seen or been in. Go ahead and live in your fantasy world. I hope you never get in a real fight.
yeah, but the guy doing the shooting is more vulnerable to gouges and fishhooks, and any choke you better have on a titanium jockstrap.
Ooh that hurt coming from a brainiac like you. I've read your posts on here before and you are a knucklehead. You just aren't smart enough to realize it.
It's not as black and white as you're making it out to be man... Of course the x-factors that you've mentioned can't be completely ignored. But often time you don't even have time to really think when a submission is locked in. Not to mention if Miocic just opts to punch some holes into his head, which is completely possible if you've followed his career and know how deadly his ground and pound is.... This could go a lot of ways... Not discounting Iron Mikes chances here, just think that Miocic has more things going his way!
Says the guy who thinks MMA is discipline of combat.. Or that an untrained person can just decide to not be taken down by a high level wrestler...
You see young Tyson and how fast and elusive he was with the fists? He'd go in and out of range and unload multiple heavy shots a second and has room in an open street to avoid being pinned. If Miocic can pin him without eating a ko then he's maybe a live dog but Mike is a seasoned street hoodlum. Dirty Mike he was called.
a boxer vs any grappling/ground fighting form(judo, wrestling, JJ) has only a puncher's chance. this topic comes back over and over... its oranges and apples.
This is a man who tried to bite another mans ear off in a SANCTIONED fight and was beating seasoned boxers when he was a teenager. There's a level of savagery in Tyson that transcends controlled fighting, a prime Tyson would kill McGreggor. I get the all around skills of MMA fighters but McGreggor is being way overhyped, even in his realm of MMA.
Exactly. All these UFC bozos have glass jaws. Tyson annihilates this guy, blows his glass jaw to bits.
Mike is my favorite boxer ever and he was a beast but if a good wrestler or jiu jitsu guy takes him down he's most likely done. Let's not forget that he's going to be getting dropped on concrete, not on a canvas.
No one succeeds in MMA without a solid grounding in either BJJ, Wrestling or Sambo. That's because without those you aren't experienced enough to stop yourself being taken down, or how to defend once taken down. Once Tyson is on the floor his leverage is none and his submission or position defence is none. I'd say Tyson only has any chance of winning within the first ten seconds. Unless he spends the next two years learning one of the above. That's not even to mention that the stance used by Tyson is screaming out to be kicked. First solid leg kick he feels will convince him he doesn't want another. He'll try defending off instinct and not technique, be vulnerable for the takedown as he'll try using strength not sprawl. All Conor would have to do is be tight and patient on the mat, if he tried rushing he'd get loose and potentially bench pressed or thrown off him by Mike, if he stays tight he should do him.
