Tyson was the better man. I see a stoppage for Tyson, who would be the hardest puncher Tua faced but should the fight go into the later rds., Dave had the better late rd. stamina and proven record of late stops. Tyson was better conditioned through-out his career. This would of been a brawl
I see Tua knocking out Tyson in the latter rounds its a hard call Tyson is the better fighter but Tua would survive him but Tyson would not survive Tua when he gets hit later in the fight. I don't understand it being said Tua is not fast he is and this will cause Tyson real problems.
Tyson would have to knock him out early becaues if he didn't David Tua would knock him out. I do think Tua might have a better chin than Mike, but Mike is better obviously.
Why? Nobodies chin is undentable, Tua himself was clean KO'd by Savon in the amateurs with one punch. He does not have the defense or ring savvy to defend himself, and you are insane if you think he's going to shrug off combinations from a prime Tyson.
Key word right there. Unpolished and still learning Tommy, you know this so I'm surprised you brought it up. Tua took some huge shots from Ike, Rahman and Lewis, they didn't budge him. His defence is tight, Tua backs onto the ropes and rolls/blocks most of Tysons punches imo and those that do get through, well Tua hasn't been knocked down professionally let alone ko'd. I stand by my statement.
Tyson never had problems with stamina when he was properly prepared, ever. Tyson showed solid stamina against Tillis, Green and especially in his ferocious onslaught on Ribalta for 10 rounds, and superb stamina across 12 rounds against Smith, Tucker and particularly in his brutal war with Ruddock. To those that think Tua can stop him, what Tyson fights have you actually watched; Douglas, Holyfield I, Neilsen, Lewis, D.Williams and McBide? I see Tyson by TKO6, Mike is a far more skillful puncher, elusive and hard to hit - unlike David and will cleanly tag him with lightning fast combinations round after round as he consistently beats the Tua Man to the punch. Also as he's facing an opponent around the same height as himself, Tyson will utilise his underrated shotgun jab often and at his best he could triple it up. :rofl:rofl Peak Tyson's incredible hand speed and movement is vastly superior, why do you think Tua's speed will bother him??
Harsh Frank, I'd picked up on it and was just going to let it go. Plus the fact Tua looked like a skinny kid.
Man, Tua was ****ed against Savon. I love the way he starts bouncing like he's ready to box on when the referee has already stopped it Bless him.
#1 - Do not call me a ****ing idiot. You are the biggest twat on this forum. #2 - Yes I have seen it, and no I didn't mean clean KO'd. What I meant to say was cleanly put down and stopped in a legitimate manner from one punch. I have seen it, I know he gets up (after falling against the ropes) and then starts bouncing around long after the ref has waved it off.
Tua might win this. Tyson was the better fighter but he never fought anyone like Tua, maybe the match-up of styles suits Tua, who if anything was stockier and stronger than Tyson.
If I was managing Tyson I wouldnt go anywhere near a prime Tua. Two guys who slugged it out, Tua would have a chance. Tyson was the better fighter, but anything can happen when you have to huge punchers that only come forward.
