    no, simply not.
tua was stronger physically, slightly bigger, hits harder, took a better shot, was tougher mentally, carried his power later and got better stamina.

mike was faster, more skilled, he got better defence, more accurate puncher and better combination puncher, both men were great finishers but i would give mike the edge because he was one of the very best in this department with foreman, dempsey and louis.
both men have advantages and disadvantages here.
if you put me a gun in my head i say tyson 88 by decision. but i would not put a cent here. anything could happen.
mike should use his advantage in general speed to outbox tua, if he fights the type of combat of tua(going to the war) he losses

No Tua was not physically stronger, no evidence of this whatsoever.

And Tua was not physically bigger either. Tyson was taller and had longer reach by just a couple of inches.

    Fatter? Yes. Bigger, no.

tyson and tua were both wide men, but tua was slightly thicker, the legs of tua were thicker than mike´s and naturally bigger, so here you have the slight difference in size, tyson was more athletic and ripped and tua was soft but his frame was heavier than mike´s. prime tua weighed 226 pounds and prime mike 215-220. and not tua was not fat at 226 pounds , even at 245 he carried that huge weight pretty well( obviously he was overweight at 245) he was naturally a little wider than mike and thicker(in frame). of course tyson had lower %of fat but still.... the difference was not all fat.. it was mass and bigger frame

and yes, tua was much harder to push back and he was stronger than mike, trained weights too.
watch the sparring session of evander and tua and then watch his fight with mike.. evander pushed back tyson much easier

Tyson should be able to prevail on his speed and skills, but I could see him breaking down if Tua takes his best punches and keeps coming while landing some big punches of his own. No idea how this one would go, but it would have been a great, high-action slugfest.

What about Tyson's style being wrong for Tua?

Pre prison tyson by wide decision or late stoppage. Simply too fast on his feet would give tons of angles and superior hand speed takes Tua apart.

Post prison Tyson dominates early but not sure he has the will or stamina to pull it off. Tua might grind him down late around round 10.

Overrate Tua much? Jesus H. You're talking about an ATG and a good fighter with loads of power. Peak Tyson wins this all day everyday. He is two levels above Tua and is far sharper.

Tyson wasn't susceptible to sudden out of the blue stoppages even when he was somewhat past it and he won't be here.

Tyson by decision. Tua has a rock solid chin and it would definitely be tested in this one.

Tyson could win this fight on jab alone.

If he wanted to. He'd certainly comfortably outpoint him at worst imo.

    Prime Tyson stops Tua.

The gap in handspeed and ability was astronomical.

My thinking as well. Tua was a solid mother though, eh? His thighs are ridiculous.
