    Quarry took him out at 2:17 round one, give or take a few seconds. In Shavers defense his other KO losses were due to exhaustion and being hurt.

    Ok thx.

    But there is no "defense" for him. He was a very good guy but highly overrated when you compare him to Ali, Formeman, Frazier, but also to other guys like Holmes, Tyson, Liston, Holyfield, Lewis or even the Klitschko brothers. I doubt he would have been favorite against anyone i just mentioned.

    He was never on the level of a legend or dominator. His punching power yes, but not his overall package as a fighter.
    Still ppl compare him with Ali, Foreman and Frazier.

    If they fought 100 times, Shavers would end up a vegetable 1/10th of the way through...

    Tyson early and brutally. This would make Shavers' KO losses to Lyle and Quarry look downright peaceful!
