The first year of George Foreman's "second career."
Would “second” George Foreman turn out better than: Tyrell Biggs, Tony Tucker, Pinklon Thomas, and James Smith?

Biggs was quicker than Foreman, Tucker was better with a much longer reach than Foreman who only had an 78.5 inch reach, Tucker had the same height and reach as Wlad, Thomas had a better jab, the only one Foreman would have done better than wa Smith because he just kept holding constantly, Foreman wouldn`t have stood a chance v Tyson in 1987.

Not against this Tyson & at this early stage of the comeback. 1990 onwards & he's a real live underdog.

At this point in time, with George just starting out on his cb and getting used to being back in the ring, I'd say Tyson.

Tyson s confidence is sky high probably here, he's got his ideal corner and he's not not gone completely off the rails yet.

It's maybe a tougher fight for Tyson than he expects, big George s shots have that effect I'd imagine. But we have to remember that Tysons best shots were smashing the hell out of everyone.
I'm inclined to think that George gets pulled out of the fight, with awful swelling around his face, his eyes almost closed and looking shaky on the legs.
Now if this had happened, then just maybe, the eventual success of Foreman s comeback never happens.
Could he have carried on after a cruel loss to Tyson?

Just out of curiosity just because we've never seen it, do you think Tyson could fight like Morrison did on backfoot ? Do you think his team would maybe implement that style vs Foreman ?

Or does Tyson just do what he does, rampaging through opponents hitting Big George with vicious combinations body and head.

Only because Tyson had started to slide by then, a prime Tyson would have destroyed the older Foreman.

Tyson was better than Morrison in every department but always fought in the peek a bo come forward style taught by Cus D`Amato.

Foreman was way too easy to hit at the time, and I don't just mean by single punches, Holyfield was landing 10 Punch combos with every Punch thrown with full leverage, if Tyson starts putting together punches Like that the fight would have to be stopped IMO.

Yes, yes that's all true. But you mention Holyfield (1991), and Morrison (1993), which is 4 and 6 years later than the name of this topic.
The point is to consider 1987.
I can't even understand when George Foreman was the "second prime", so I followed the logic that in 1987 he was the youngest during his "second career".

How is he going to fight on backfoot with a 71in reach against a guy with a 79in reach?

He'd fight him like he fought everyone else. Come forward at all times, be trying to score a KO at all times.

I think at one point Holyfield landed a 19 punch combo. But that's Holyfield.

I think given the chosen time frame and set of circumstances, George would have gotten badly beat. In 1987 Foreman was still shaking off the rust while Tyson was at his absolute pinnacle.

It's important to note that Morrison implemented that style not because of Foreman but because of Tommy.

After being brutally stopped by Ray Mercer, Tommy had a life and death struggle with a very game Joe Hipp who broke his jaw, he also suffered 2 knock downs from Carl "The Truth" Williams who was on the verge of stopping him before getting caught. By the time he met George Foreman, he was understandably gun shy.

But Tyson could fight Foreman using his original style; his handspeed will play a key factor in the fight.

Foreman loses a UD badly. Swole as hell at the end. I don't think Mike would drop him, but I do think George would land harder than anyone else in the 80s and rock him good more than once. Otherwise, Mike makes him look pretty terrible overall.
