I just need to actually see the first ~ninety seconds. After that I can make a confident call.

If you mean 1997 Mike then yeah, sure, probably. 1987 is a way harder question.

Heart is an intangible. Stamina? Pre-Douglas Tyson, even pre-prison Tyson yes. I genuinely do. This matchup is best version vs best version no? I think Joe doesn't stand up to what Tyson delivers over 12. It's a two handed attack from a much better combination puncher vs. Joe's single hand (a great hand but still). Also, Mike Tyson never lost to anyone his size, Joe was smaller, his foils were all of greater stature, far greater stature TBH, even Evander (who I also think would devastate Frazier).

Whether you call it heart, determination to persevere towards the win in the face of extreme adversity, or whatever, it's both common to see it cited when 2 x fighters are compared and most certainly material to how successful a fighter is. Frazier is clearly ahead of Tyson in this area.

I have no problem with you picking Tyson to beat Frazier in a fantasy, time machine, best vs best fight. I suspect opinion on that is reasonably evenly split. We're going to have to agree to disagree that the best version of Tyson had better stamina than the best version of Frazier, though, and I suspect the vast majority would agree with me there.

Joe Frazier met one One ONE genuine lights out Puncher in his career and was oblitered ,twice, even went down from glancing blows. Fact.

Frazier would walk right into Tyson like he walked right into Foreman, Tyson is way faster, hits easily as hard, is more elusive and fires rapid combos, thre is no need to push Frazier off, he will get decaptited while coming straight in...............what did Liston say, fighting Frazier is like shooting fish in a barrell.

Nobody is going toe to toe with Tyson and survives.

Douglas did not go toe to toe and the momernt he got brave he got put on his azz vs Prime Tyson.

Holyfield did not go toe to toe, he clinched and clinched, head butted and after throwing the entire kitchen sink at him finally got a 11th hour standing TKO win vs a washed up Tyson .

Lewis did not go toe to toe and played it way safe vs the Ghost of Tyson.

All three of the above are taller, some quite a bit and 20-40 pounds heavier......

Frazier will do exact the opposite and down and out goes Frazier, rather quick too, he aint got the chin..................Heart, yeash, Gatti had heart, Corrales had heart yet heart did jackshid when both got absolute hammered by Mayweather.

Can you name me one Tyson fight where he shows nearly as much output as Frazier did, in his fights against Ellis I, Quarry I, and TFOTC, or even Manilla?

Tyson was similar to Dempsey, in that he came storming out of the gates trying to end matters early, but if his opponent survived past the third round, his work-rate would visibly slow down, and he would all but abandon his head movement.

I've quite honestly never met one person who thought Tyson's stamina was even close to Frazier's. After ten years on this forum, I thought I'd seen it all.

I'm sure his self-proclaimed agenda against Frazier has nothing to do with it.

This is quite literally a textbook example of the strawman fallacy.

I never said output. That's inferring something I never did. I said specifically:

Durability may be a better word than stamina, I can concede that. I don't think Frazier is around late for stamina to come into play. My position is that he's bounced up and down and won't be there late.

“Agenda” a dictionary search would tell this forum this doesn’t apply when stating an opinion on a long dead pugilist. lol what’s the underlying intent/motive here?

You never mentioned output. I did. Because one measure of endurance (or lack of it) is looking at one's work-rate, and how long they can keep it up before slowing down. Frazier imo had the highest work-rate imo of any heavyweight (with the possible exception of Marciano).
