29 year old Tyson is weaker than his younger self, so... whats your point? 29 yo Tyson would do even worse.

As a huge Frazier fan, its difficult to admit that Tyson would likely stop him within 3 rounds, but that's what would happen.

Heart and grit only gets you so far.

He wouldn't go out as quickly as his son did, but probably just as dramatically.

Tyson had too many tools, too many advantages.

I agree. I love Joe. He is my all time favorite boxer. The style here isn't in his favor. He would eventually bob and weave right into one of those uppercuts. Tyson had faster hands than Foreman. Perhaps the older Post Prison version of Tyson gets ground down by Joe but not sure on that one.

Prime Tyson was maybe not as tough as Frazier but he was tough as hell and 10x mentally tougher than broken and spoiled post prison tyson that people point to when saying tyson had no heart.

Tyson showed ALOT of heart against Douglas and ruddock. He swung for the fences right until his body gave out against Douglas and even against Holyfield.
Had he been hit by lightning and died before the Holyfield Fights Nobody would question his heart.

People change, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. There are plenty of examples of formerly brave fighters quitting like chavez and Morales and guys who were mentally weak or have quit before who find courage later like Bert Cooper or Wlad Klitschko.

The personal life of a fighter has alot to do with how much punishment he is willing to put up with, his frustration tolerance, how much he really wants the win, if he just decides that he has 100 million in assets anyway and it's not worth it.

And Tyson just turned his life into a wreck and it translated Into the ring later on.

I don't need to mention the stylistic and physical advantages of Tyson. I'm pretty sure they are very clear to everyone here.

Frazier fought one top level puncher and was massacred twice. Tyson stayed upright against Ruddock, Smith, Bruno.

Holmes said before the fight Tyson's power was overated,he changed his opinion after the fight.

Just based on visual evidence I think it's obvious Tyson is a much more dangerous puncher regardless of how his shots felt.
Remover Tyson had the speed to hit people with things they didn't see.

Getting up from knockdowns is great. Not getting knocked down in the first place is greater. How can you be mad a Tyson for having a good chin and not going down until he had nothing left?

    Anyway

You don't think staying on his feet against Holyfield when he got finished off took heart?
He was gassed, wobbling and out of it when they pushed him out for the 11th round and still he was trying to get Holyfield out of there, throwing a right hand right away despite having just been put on ***** street at the end of the last round for loading up too much with the right hand.

He beat the count against Douglas he was just obviously in no state to continue. Fighters who don't wanna fight don't put their mouthpieces back in. You don't think he took more than enough shots in those 10 rounds to just close his eyes and lay still for a 10 count without anybody being able to criticize him?

He stopped himself from going down in the Lewis fight when Lewis uppercutted him so hard in the 8th round that his head snapped back grotesquely and his knees sagged so bad he did a full squat before he pushed himself back up. Another fight where he could have gone down a dozen times before he finally did.

If a 36 year old shot Frazier that had been stopped twice and was addicted to drugs and anti depressants had to take the same bombs from 250lb Lewis he would have gone down a dozen times and stopped 5 times over before Tyson finally did

I consider Frazier the greater fighter overall but my head rules my heart on this one - Tyson would take Frazier out early.

Frazier was not a quitter but neither was Larry Holmes and it didn't stop Tyson flattening him in 4 rounds.

I just think Tyson's firepower is too much for Frazier and it would be over inside 3 rounds.

There's a slight possibility that Frazier could weather the storm and wear Tyson down but it relies on Frazier remaining upright long enough to do it. I just don't see that as very likely, I'm afraid.

My point is Frazier was younger
Tyson had real two handed power, hits harder, and faster, is bigger, and has a better chin.
I cant go with Frazier here.He gets beat up.

After vandalizing Marvis Frazier in seconds, when the bad kid sparred McCall, Joe Frazier thought to himself again:

"Man, luckily I´d never had to share an era with this fellows. Two times with George was more than enough."
