This is a great fight! I think Tyson has what it takes to take Joe out early, but I can also see Louis catching Mike if he tries. If the fight is less than 7 rounds I will pick Mike, if the fight goes past that point then I'd pick Louis to knock Tyson out.

Styles make fights, Mike was elusive and explosive enough to take out Louis.

That is a brilliant fight there.
I used to lean toward a very early ko for Tyson, him coming out fast, Gettin him hurt in the early rounds.
Now... I think Joe has a chance but he has to survive hurricane Tyson.

Exactly as i see it. Everybody knows Joe Louis had a glass jaw at best. In the early rounds Mike would have been a real threat to Louis. If i were to make a bet it would be Tyson inside 6. If Mike couldn't KO Louis early, then i believe Louis's perfect skills as a boxer-puncher would show up and get Mike out of there late. Stylistically Mike has an advantage here not to mention far superior chin

I narrowly favor Joe Louis but this is one of those fights where anything can happen with two all time great punchers trading combos on the inside. Both had very fast hands, great offensive skill and huge power. Both were durable but could also be hurt and stopped. Louis has the advantage of having gone 15 rounds but it’s doubtful this will go that long. Not a fight I’d bet money on.

Bill Caplan said of Tyson:" Never once did he walk thru the fire to win...he never came from behind to win...and he never rose from the canvas to win a fight!"...those are the marks of a great champion!

I wouldn't say Louis had a glass chin, I think it was just kinda average.

And how is that his fault when everyone that fought prime Tyson folded?

It may just be me, but IMO there’s been a recent run on this forum in multiple threads of people if not denigrating, at least doing some revisionist downgrading of Louis. I will state for the record that I think he’s the GOAT and I voted for him here. I will also state for the record that prime Tyson absolutely had the skills to take him out on a given day.

His two fights with Ruddock were definitely walking through fire to win.
