I wouldn't go that far, but he is top 5 without question. I think Zakman has Lewis at about 15 all time, which is just ridiculous blind hatred.
I'm quite new here, and I have no reason not to believe it when people say Zakman has great boxing knowledge.... but then he comes up with that type of ****... it's confusing! Btw, Lewis beats Tyson everytime imo :spy
It is just blind hatred. Lewis beat up his hero Holyfield and he has been bitching about it ever since.
Had Tyson not went to jail, I thought he would've beaten Holyfield and Lewis. When Holy and Lewis faced Tyson, they were facing a Tyson who said ouch when a cut was touched lol. Tyson lost his toughness in prison being away so long. In his prime, it took Buster 10 brutal rounds to put Mike away. Mike smiled at the smash by Rudduckl when he caught Tyson in the middle of his belly and on the chin. The best Mike was the Mike who fought Spinks, and when he won all the titles. That Mike annihilates the best Holy and Lennox imo. Tyson was able to take a punch, give one, and imo he just had the style to beat those guys. We will never know, as we saw their sorry victories over a sorry Iron Mike. The man had to bite Holy to make him fight him because he knew he couldn't fight anymore lol. Jail took away all of his skill.
Actually, I think Lennox beats Mike everytime, stylewise. For Holyfield I dunno... Can't write Tyson off though, he was a ferocious puncher and he was able to hurt anyone, if he caught him flush.
evander was MADE for mike tyson. be thankful for evanders sake he didnt have to go up against a 1980s mike tyson, tyson knocks him out.
What is ridiculous is having Lewis in the top five. And people have this all wrong. I don't hate Lewis at all, he was a decent fighter, albeit one with a serious achilles heel. What I hate is how absurdly overrated he is by some boxing fans - of which your post is just one example.
Any version of Lennox, style wise was not good enough to beat a prime Mike imo. Mike had too much speed and power, and was a heck of a body puncher in his prime. He would break Lennox down. Lennox's jab and big right would not be a factor because a prime Mike had defense, and a chin. We can bring up both guys ko losses in their primes, and analyze them by that also, but Mike had to be broken down where as Lennox could be taken out with one shot. It is just unfortunate Mike had to go to prison while in his prime. Holy and Lennox beat a prison faded version of Mike. But, it is what it is...Lennox is the greater fighter. But Mike was once a great fighter.
92, tyson is favored b/c lewis ain't ready yet. after prison, lewis wins, but lewis can't beat mid to late 80's tyson.
