So Let's say Tyson overcomes this fourteen inch reach advantage. He is absolutely clueless on fighting inside. Liston would **** him. I actually like Frazier's chances better than I like Tyson's though I wouldn't favor neither.

Reasons:

1-size: despite the mythical imagen of liston of giant bad monster, the average weight of them in their primes was 210 for liston ( in his early carrer his lowest weight was 198 pounds and tyson never weighed under 212). And the average weight of prime tyson was 217 despite being shorter than sonny. Tyson looked more natural at 220 cause his wide thorax and listón looked over muscled and inflated at 220.

2- speed. No debate tyson was much faster with hands and feet. So tyson is moving faster a bigger mass

3-Power. Tyson... Faster man moving a bigger mass=more power.


4- strength. I would say liston but sonny never made of his strength an advantage in the ring like foreman did

5- chin. Tyson without a doubt. He never got iced by a single shot even against big strong guys when he was in his end. Liston got iced by a 199 pounder.

I never have seen a jab being a problem for a peak motivated tyson.
I have seen him taking shots from guys who did hit just as hard as liston and bigger than him.
I never have seen liston facing anyone like tyson. Patterson would be like a 14 years old of mike.

I am not sure that "taking a beating" when losing is an actual winningquality.

 

Tyson NEVER had the intelligence to get past possibly the best jab in Heavyweight history. In fact Tyson NEVER KNEW anybody with the intelligence to get past said jab. Tyson was worse than dog sh it fighting on the inside. He was at his most dangerous at mid range, and as stated there is no way he gets past that jab. Sonny just softens him up with the jab like Douglas did, but ends the proceedings earlier.
