Mike KO's Wlad and gets out pointed by Vitali .... well do I have it right or not? what happens here?
How is VK gonna out point him............he lost against the two best fighters he met and failed the pass the torch test against a overweight Lewis who had one foot out the door. VK is a lean back one two arm puncher with zero inside or clinching game, replay of the Tucker fight . Old Lewis and cream puff Byrd would never see the distance against Prime Tyson. Tyson does a absolute quick number on WK, tailer made, aint got the chin or the marbles to survive. If you let the K brothers into the fight pecking away or jab and grab you are in for a long night.............they are thinking not instinct fighters, so when you jump on them they cannot think and fall apart on instinct..............old Lewis jumped on VK and Sanders jumped on WK, kept on coming with raw pressure and finished them off.
A weakness of Tyson was that he'd stand square on which made him susceptible to being pushed, as he'd have to regroup himself and attack again, which Lennox pointed out was important to beating him. Another was not punching quickly out of clinches, which Clinchko specialises in. I think Wlad's chin is eventually shattered though. Vitali is a lot harder, but the fanboy in me says Mike TKO
Lol exactly. These pretend boxing fans also act like Vitali couldn't be hurt. 38 year old Corrie Sanders had Vitali hurt badly in their fight. Lennox Lewis old and fat like you said but he was able to buckle VItali's knees with jabs. A prime Mike Tyson would destroy Wlad quicker than Sanders did and Tyson would also stop Vitali in maybe 3 or 4 rounds.
A question I've asked myself, in the Tyson v Klitschko s fights. How do we think the brothers would actually react fighting Tyson? We know the effect that he had on a lot of the guys he faced. Some ran, a lot clinched, some came out head on, hoping for the best. Knowing how the brothers were, would they fight confident?
I reckon both beat him. Wlad's safety first, jab centric grab-heavy style is Tyson's kryptonite. He struggled with much lesser guys like Botha and Tillis that followed that blueprint. Vitali is a master at using body sway to muffle atatcks and to react with short chopping blows. Vitali's punching style is technically incorrect but has the advantage of not getting him off balance and allowing him to throw a very many arm punches without getting tired. Because he is such a huge guy his theoretically weaker punches amassed something like an 80% KO ratio for him. Further, Vitali has arguably the best chin I've seen at heavyweight. Tyson's going to be hoping for a cut or shoulder injury because knocking him out is a very tall ask indeed. Finally, when Tyson fought Lewis, we saw the limitations of his style. Granted he was old and I'd expect a prime version to do better, but that still might be a loss regardless.
Vitali could do no better than Tony Tucker on the night. Wlad would clam up same as Bunecrusher did You need to have an inside game to defeat Tyson. Both Klitschkos had none , thats the reality !
Tyson was better than both of them, I feel he would have beat Fury and Wilder, however he was very small at heavyweight which often a problem v very big fighters and Wlad would have hugged him all night in a stinker.
I think that Mike Tyson's greatness is the way he proved that even being short compared to the big guys (otherwise he's a mid-size person), there is a style that can completely neutralize their height advantage and he was the perfect example for. Of course, he has his gifts (speed, power), but was also lucky to have one of the best trainers ever, but still... I bet we all miss the times where the heavyweight weren't relying on height and people like Usyk (191 cm.) were not called "small for heavyweight", but rather big ones.
Prime Tyson would simply destroy both of the Klitschko brothers. Tyson's a nightmare for any European style boxer. That jab, right hand , grab, repeat tactic wouldn't work against him. Lennox Lewis was correct in his assessment of Tyson WHEN HE FOUGHT HIM. But he was almost 15yrs past his prime. Of course that version of Tyson could be pushed off , he had become a walk in slugger, with slow feet, and little head movement. Lewis did not fight the best version of Tyson. The Klitschko , brothers wouldn't have any answers for prime Tyson's combo punching, aggression, creative punching angles, and slick defense. They both have the size to disrupt Tyson, and if they could be taught to use their physical advantages, like for instance Foreman would than it could be a different story. But other than jab and grab, we never saw them actually fight in away to beat a fighter of Tyson's prime abilities. Tyson stops both Kleitcko brothers with in 10 rds. And Vitali actually quit in a fight he was winning against light punching C.Byrd, with only a couple rds left, that in itself suggest he wouldn't have the intestinal fortitude to handle prime Tyson.
I can see the same outcome. I think he catches Wlad on his suspect chin, and Vitali is able to use his size advantage to crowd Mike on the inside and control the distance from the outside.
