Thank god this didnt happen..Tyson wouldve knocked his head off the guy's shoulders and nobody would care either..well maybe japan..
Tyson probably was better suited to a boxing MMA crossover than even better boxers than himself as he was a natural fighter. I mean biting peoples ears and trying to break their arms is not part of boxing but displays a natural desire to dominate his opponent and a mindest that goes deeper than the art of boxing. I think this would mean that even if he got taken down he wouldn't just be looking to get back on his feet but would try to fight in any situation he was put in. In fact I think he would find it hard to stay within MMA rules because it would seem like a free-for-all compared to boxing and he would struggle to not gouge, bite and headbutt.
Bob Sapp had some decent fights... for example his epic battle vs Big Nog. p.s. it was PUNCH by CroCop which has broken Bob's eye socket and not a leg kick. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSMQFryasww&feature=related[/ame] go to minute 4 in the video
Most fighters would do the same thing when it comes to damages to the eye. I didnt know of this video until now
I hate the title of that video because Bob Sapp was never in the UFC. This was a promotion by K1 several years back (2003 iirc) and never saw fruition. It was very fun to watch at the time though! But the title is very misleading and people who never watch the video will think Bob Sapp and Mike Tyson were in the UFC which isn't true. However it is worth noting that Mike has been seen at several UFC events and has even appeared in video blogs with Dana White behind the scenes of the UFC. Mike is a true fan of the combative sports.
