Mike Tyson vs Vitali Klitschko

Careful now, Tyson in the mid 80's defeated many fighters who were taller and larger than he was.

He also beat / KO'd fighters who tried to hide behind their longer reach, fighters who tried to dance around him, fighters who tried to fight inside and fighters who tried to clinch, they all failed.

Vitali is a very formidable fighter, whom I felt was robbed against Lennox Lewis, but his style is very easily neutralised by Tyson's bob and weave technique that he used properly before 1988.

The Tyson that lost to Douglas was in 1990 and he was mentally troubled, it is very well documented about his problems post 1988. He couldn't even behave properly outside the ring let alone inside it.

 

Dafuk would you know about it? Douglas floored guys with his jab. If you knew anything about technique , you'd know he threw a near perfect jab.

Vitali's blowing through everybody he fought coming up to Chisora and was seen by many as being in the prime of his career.

If you go back before that he was getting blown out Lewis , quiting against powder puff puncher and retiring to avoid fighting Hasim Rahman.

And when Tyson was undefeated, undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Vitali wouldn turn pro until another decade

If Tysons opponents were mediocre what the hell are Vitalis? Briggs, Adamek, Arreola, Williams and Herbie Hide? GTFOH! Tysons resume is above Vitalis.

Mitch Green was never Ko'd even after he faced Tyson, Green fought years aftewards.
Have you seven seen the Boncrusher fight? he landed ONE punch on Tyson through the whole fight as did Tucker.
Those 2 guys combined probably won one - two rounds against Tyson.
Tillis was Tysons first step up, he was still green and fighting an experienced journeyman whod been in with Biggs, Coetzee, Frazier, Witherspoon, Williams, Page, Thomas, Shavers and Weaver before facing Tyson

All this bull**** about how Tyson struggled with taller opponents, 99% of his opposition was taller than him, and those names you mentioned above, Tyson beat ALL of them.

Byrd beat him, Past-Prime old Lewis demolished him. Who did he beat? His best Fights was his loss against Lennox and a totaly out of shape Corry Sanders.

Prime Tyson would kill him. To fast, to skilled, to precise, to much punching Power and a worldclass defensive.

 

Vitali is a very good heavyweight fighter, it is just his fighting style and relative lack of movement would be easy pickings for an 1986-88 Tyson.

Against most other heavyweights, Vitali is a force to be reckoned with as his sheer size, power, jab and toughness would be the positive factors for him.
