Bonecrusher and tucker of much lower level and chin endured 12 rounds and had him hurt for a moment.

 

Ok forget it. If you don't even want to acknowledge what point of their careers tucker and Douglas were in in the examples you posted, nor want to admit what I'm talking about when I mean that prime Vitali Looks horribly awkward and sloppy compared to 80s tucker and douglas, then there is no common ground whatsoever in our opinions and there is no point in continuing this discussion.

Lower level based on what? Prime Witherspoon and in shape prime Douglas are better wins than anything on Vitalis Resumee.

Endured 12 rounds doesn't mean anything at all. They lost comprehensively.

Hurt for a moment? Compared to how Sanders rocked vitali, Tyson didn't even notice their shots.

A much older, drug addicted, coming off a nearly 3 year layoff Tucker went 12 in a more competitive fight with Lewis.

Tyson ate alex Stewart who gave holyfield hell alive in one round.
Tony Tucker knocked out buster Douglas.

Tucker was ducked by 2 lineal champs. 8 years apart when he was mandatory!
post Moorer foreman would not have been favorite vs Tucker based on Foremans performance vs Axel Schulz. If Tucker had beaten Spinks and Foreman which I don't think anyone would say would've been impossible, he would be viewed differently.

He lost once inhis prime and that's it. He took 3 years off after Tyson and was on coke during that time. His prime was OVER and his legs were GONE just like Mike dokes when he came back from a layoff after cocaine addiction.
Prime Tucker is a very very very good win.
Tyson didn't lose a round vs bonecrusher so I don't understand why anyone would bring that up.

There was nothing "magic" about them losing their skills and coordination. Most fighters in their 30s (especially ones that have remained inactive) lose their ability to fight. The Tucker and Douglas clips you posted couldn't demonstrate this any more clearly. Neither fighter resembled their prime form in the fights you posted. The mike Tyson of 2002 (only 36 years old) would likely get stopped in one round by the Mike Tyson of 1987. Maybe you are just trolling.

I've seen no evidence whatsoever to that effect. What I do know is that Vitali smashed Norris, who beat Tucker. Oh, wait, I'm being mean, again.

I agree, let's NEVER compare performances against common opponents and NEVER refer to actual footage for our opinions. We can all run it on conjecture and hyperbole.

I happen to know of a fighter that took 4 (four) years off fighting, came straight back into a world title fight against the champion, beat him like he stole money, and finished his career at age 40, fighting with an injured shoulder and yet still throwing more punches in the fight than a prime Mike Tyson. Want to guess who that fighter is?

 

I am well aware of Vitali winning a portion of the title again late in his career. It still doesn't change my opinion. In this day and age fighters (no doubt through the use of HGH and other PEDs) fight on longer. Bernard Hopkins, Vitali, and Floyd Mayweather all demonstrate this. I have little doubt all 3 of these fighter were cheating in that manner to obtain this longevity.

But, that is irrelevant. The fact that Vitali was almost as good at 40 as he was at 25 doesn't change the fact that at no point of Vitali's career was he anywhere near as skilled or fast as a PRIME Mike Tyson.

 

*shrug* Clearly guys have their opinions and that's that. My opinion is that Vitali would have beaten Tyson and that a guy like Tillis would not have gone the distance with him.

 

Do you not realse that Tucker and Douglas were shot to **** when those fights happened??

 

Who did Tyson fight with Vitali's combination of size, skills, and durability? Tyson's style was faced on blasting out his opponents. I don't think he's going to like fighting someone who can absorb his punches without falling.

Against Vitali he would be giving away roughly 8 inches in height, he never dealt with that kind of size gap against a world class opponent. Will he be able to land effectively given the massive height disparity?

 

Also Buster lost in his prime to Jesse Ferguson and seemed to simply quit/gas out against Tucker. If your trying to hype Tucker I don't think this helps his case much.

 

Vitali only ever faced one elite level fighter and that was an out of shape, over confident, disinterested Lennox Lewis who still was able to land at will, turn Vitali's face into a bloody mess and stop him in 6 rounds.
Yeah Lennox and Mike are different entities but based on that fight and Vitali quitting against a fat middleweight I'm inclined to think Tyson in his absolute prime would have stopped VK.

 

Tillis was shot to **** when he took "absolute prime" Tyson the distance, and, in some people's opinions, did enough to win. But yeah, Vitali could never hang with Tyson

 

Tyson lost to the best fighters he faced, how does bringing up the Lewis fight help your case? That version of Lewis is still better than anyone Tyson ever beat.
