It's a compliment to Tyson that his opponent receiving a 12 round schooling or landing a good shot in the first round is used as evidence against him.

The double standards against him are outrageous, but really they are a testament to how great he was at his peak( and the fact that even his haters know it, otherwise they wouldn't nitpick so much and try to use the fact that some guy managed to hold on for dear life as evidence of anything)

If Bruno almost beat him, then what about the Biggs fight for Bowe? Nobody brings that one up where he got wobbled all over the place more than once by a featherfist.

What about the Bonavena fight for Frazier? Does that mean he loses to everybody who starts reasonably fast and can punch?



Cooper Bowe and Stewart fights for Holyfield made him look like a brawl happy imbecile who doesn't know how to block a punch to save his life but vs Foreman, Mercer and Tyson he was sharp as a razor, picking them apart and wobbling them with counters.

 

Tyson was visibly rocked and hurt. Had the confidence challenged Bruno moved in for more and landed another good one, Tyson could have been upset. This fight by was a blue print for what Douglas did. Douglas however had far more confidence on that night than Bruno did.

 

so, you are claiming that it was nearly an upset ...because in a boxing match someone landed a punch, yeh?

 

I'm saying he rocked Tyson more than once, and visibly had him close to going down. Had Bruno followed up, he could have won. Bruno had confidence issues and hired a sports psychologists. This fight showed vulnerability for Tyson, which was later exposed in his career vs. guys who had the ability and did not fear Tyson.

I'm not talking about landing, I'm saying Bruno HURT Tyson. IMO, exposing him a bit in a loss. Anyway Bruno was didn't use his jab, like Vitali, didn't have his defense or chin either.

 

Lets see...... the youngest undefeated undisputed Heavyweight Champ enigma since Ali.......P4P number one in the Ring's ratings against a stiff one two fighter who never heard of a uppercut whose best "win" is TKO6 against a aging mediocre chinned Lewis........that is a hard one to figure out....

VK does not clinch , probably does not know how.................Tyson will work the body overtime similar to Tucker but without the tie ups........Tyson's jab will set everything up.......once VK's legs are gone from the bodywork its going to be trench war fare a la he faced vs Lewis and we all know how that ended.

There is no way , prime vs prime that VK wins against Tyson, Vk's lean back style low gueard going straight lines without any clinching is the recipe for a total disaster.

BTW, I have shook hands with VK, a month before the Lewis bout, he is tall, no doubt but very skinny.

 

the clue would be that i saw the fight live when it happened, meathead, but that went by you or you ignored it in the vain hope that noone had noticed. There is no reason to ask me to see it again except for you to save face.
