You're right. Tyson was knocking out live fighters while sleeping, he was that good!

Prime Tyson was actually the unified and undisputed HW champion of the wordl.

When VITLAY achieves this then come back to me and compare notes, until then shut your silly little trap....VITLAY isn't fit to carry Tysons jock. WALDO even less so.

  5. tyson was good in his prime but he never had a great resume(guys like berbick in his 30s,smith in his 30s, a lhw spinks in his 30s or a shot holmes), but anyway the career is not matter, i am saying that vitali would have great chance to beat a prime tyson and it is a fact. but maybe you prefer to continue saying that nonsense "prime tyson would beat anyone"

I think you're selling Tyson short here.

His resume doesn't have many signature wins against an Ali, Frazier, Bowe or Liston but it does have alot depth and compared to many Heavyweight Champions he was remarkably consistent. Tyson has many ranked contenders in his resume.

Remember not many Heavyweight Champions have 9 consecutive title defenses and most champions after losing the title seldom have any significant victories that compare to Tyson.

Compare Tyson with Frazier after he lost the title?
    With Liston?
    With Dempsey?

  7. i agree 100% about liston and dempsey, but frazier during his career did beat ali, bonavena, quarry, chuvalo, jimmy ellis, mathis, bob foster( better than spinks)... frazier had 100%better resume than tyson

Frazier has the Ali win which is hard to top. No argument there.

But I think Spinks was better at Heavyweight than Foster was. Maybe at Light Heavyweight you can argue that Foster was better but what Spinks did once he moved up proved that he was more effective at a higher weight.

Its funny cause I've always like Foster, he was a KO king those are the kind of fighters that I like most but I always felt that his style wasn't suited for moving up because his scary power wasn't going to move up with him. Spinks was better at Heavyweight because he didn't rely on the same things as Foster did.

    Tyson's resume:
    Tucker
    Thomas
    Biggs
    Smith
    Berbick
    Spinks
    Holmes
    Ruddock 2x
    Golota*
    Botha
    C. Williams
    Bruno 2x
    Seldon
    Savarese
    Stewart

    Frazier's Resume:
    Ali
    Quarry 2x
    Chuvalo
    Bonevena 2x
    Ellis 2x
    Bugner
    Foster
    Stander
    Daniels
    Mathis

Looking at both resume's its clear Frazier's win over Ali is better than anything Tyson did but it's also clear that Tyson carries depth and has better longevity than Frazier did.

Good post. Now can you post VITLAYS resume and compare it to Tysons for all of us?

I'm just interested in seeing how stupid suggesting VITLAY is better than Tyson really is when you see their resumes side by side :yep

    Vitaly.

    Herbie Hide
    Kirk Johnson
    Cris Arreola
    Sam Peter
    Larry Donald
    Shannon Briggs
    Juan Carlos Gomez
    Kevin Johnson
    Corrie Sanders

These are the best names on Vitaly's resume. Feel free to add any name that you think is appropriate.

I helped by annotating some details in.

Funny thing is, the only "Grade B" name there is Shannon Briggs, but he was shot, brutally ruined by Lennox in '98, deteriorating & ballooning up in weight ever since.
