I thought great fighters are supposed to come back despite being past their prime. (I'm not talking about being shot) Mike should have still beaten Douglas, I mean that's a guy who he should have never lost to regardless of what stage of career he was at
Mike Tyson is a Hall of Famer and an all time great. The fact is he destroyed everyone in his path and became undisputed heavyweight champion of the World in a fashion nobody has ever seen before. He reached the pinnacle of heavyweight boxing in the span of two years, he doesn't need to prove anything and he never did after that point. Boxing is a betting mans sport and I sure as hell wouldn't bet money against the Mike Tyson who was dead set on becoming the champ and wanted to kill everyone in his path.
the same could be said of Holmes, Holyfield, and Lewis as well and many other HWs not named Ali, Tyson wheter people want to admit it or not had one of the best HW runs ever, when he cleaned house in the 80s, saying he isn't a top 15 HW is BS. Tyson maybe overrated but to call him a hypejob is just hating, Hype jobs don't clean out and dominate divisions for yrs.
In his prime Tyson was fantastic, perhaps the most exciting fighter of all times, but then along came Don King, who destroyed his career.
Tyson trully was a phenom. Even when he was shell of his former self, he managed to destroyed world class boxers with ease.
Tyson was a legend and always will be he was amazing in the ring such an animal, shame he went down hill, but he will always be inspiration to many people. after all tyson was the man who got me into boxing G
Thats true man. Same here, Tyson was the one of the reasons i went into boxing, when i was young everyone in my country just telling eaech other how great Tyson is. I never heard so much talk about any fighters ever been
