He was a great fighter who went out on his shield against Lewis and Douglas. I never said he didn’t have heart. Just not Louis Ali Holmes Frazier Holyfield heart.
Vital did not drink beer and sing karaoke for a 2 years. Tyson even talked about seeing Holmes do karaoke.
Buster Douglas has every reason to hype Tysons power. Doesn't think it was anything out of the ordinary This content is protected
Holmes didn't sing karaoke, lol. He had a music group. But according to Tyson, Joe Frazier sang better, haha.
What's wrong with singing karaoke? Oliver McCall had a proven drug addiction and serious mental health issues before Lewis II, Mercer had a proven alcohol problem before the Lewis fight and hasn't won in two years, Tyson had a legendary night with Bobby Brown in Tokyo, etc., etc. Did Larry have some serious drinking problem that's not yet known? Considering how easily Tyson dispatched boxers Larry had problems with—Two X Spinks, Williams, Berbick—it's a success that he lasted four rounds with Tyson. Maybe he also sang karaoke before Spinks?
Yeah, you can't compare prime Tyson to overweight Sam Peter. Holmes who fought Mike would probably beat Peter too.
Larry had no snap on his jab against Tyson, dead and buried. It was all routine that lasted for 4 rounds. We don't know how it would have gone but I think Tyson would lose. Prime larry could beat pretty much anyone in history though.
The facts, however, say otherwise. What arguments do you have to refute them? The fight with Shavers, which is considered Larry's absolute pinnacle? Holmes couldn't have beaten Williams and Spinks without beer and karaoke, and it took Mike a total of three minutes to beat them. So if Holmes had beaten Tyson, it would have been a huge stylistic mismatch, and there's nothing to suggest that's the case.
