Most will favor weaver and I might as well. But I think this could be a war. Two sculpted muscular dudes with a lot of heart and power. I would have watched this one
Why would most favour Weaver? He was a slow starter. Frank hit hard with both hands. Granted, If Weaver lands a big hook Franks asleep. But watch his losses closely. Even if he was stunned by a left hook, and certainly against Lewis that was the punch that started the end for him, it was right hands that were his problem. I see Frank getting a very fast knockout against Weaver. He doesn’t get past Franks jab. If he does he has a right coming his way. I like Weaver but this is a bad night for him. I think.
Could go either way Weaver was a slow starter and if Bruno catches him with something big in early going it could be curtains for Weaver. But if Weaver survives Bruno's bombs early then Bruno would be in trouble, and Weaver would wear him down and stop him late on similar to the Coetzee fight. Bruno early or Weaver late it's that simple.
I actually favour Bruno over Weaver. He seemed like the more consistent operator to me even though he could gas late.
I'm sure this one nearly came about in the late 80 s. Anyway for me, either Frank stops him early, which he's capable of, or Weaver gets him, similar to the Bonecrusher fight.
Agree 100%, strangely I think I'll go with Bruno to land a big punch, Weaver was hittable. Would I bet on it?,,Nooooo.
Excellent match up!! Both men are chiseled with power to boot and yet both are susceptible too. I think Bruno has the better dynamics and can rely on his jab to control the fight from the outset. Weaver would have to go for broke sooner or later but Bruno would make Weaver pay for his primitive skills...wait... King Bruno KO 8 Hercules
Weaver's a higher level operator. Agree early round dynamics are at play but you have to favor Weaver to get thru that. A decent version of Frank couldn't get home against Bonecrusher. Weaver's durability was excellent once he started training hard and he never seemed the same after Tony Anthony coathangered him from behind after the bell and pole axed him. Looking back on his record now a lot of people would think he couldn't take much of a punch but that's simply not right during his best years.
Bruno by stoppage, for reasons already noted. He was a fast starter, Weaver a slow starter. If it goes past about six, he's in trouble, but I don't think it will last that long.
