Berbick's aggression works against him. Trevor is a bit like Norton, he has a fine chin.....until he hasn't. Both could take punches off, say, a Holmes with aplomb but ramp up the level suddenly it all changes. I think Weaver could stop him or stun and drop him enough times to win the decision. Weaver could be a bit lazy and complacent but i think Berbick's go forward brings out the best in him.
Trevor when he was switched on could be a very dangerous heavyweight. Physically strong with a mauling, aggressive style. The Berbick who fought Pinklon Thomas could probably outhustle and outwork a slow starting Weaver. Trevor's chin only really let him down against Mercardo and Tyson. When he was warmed up he could really impose his style. Trevor by 10 round decision.
Weaver stoppage. Berbick was good when he could take what they had to give, that way he could march forward consistently with solid work rate and use his strength without having to show respect. he didn’t have a great defence, it was basic and he had an average chin, and that’s why he had to be able to take the other guy’s power.
