I truly believe When it is all said and done Mikey will be recognized as the best fighter post Mayweather Era. His ring IQ, power and timing is elite level status. His style may not look flashy like Loma or may not look anything special but trust his footwork is top tier as he has incredible control of distance over his opponents. These two signature wins will prove how special Mikey is.
If it happens then he cements ATG status and one of -- if not the most -- impressive resumes of the last 30-40 years especially taking into account him fighting and beating these fighters in their primes and what point in their careers they would all be at.
Thurman & Crawford beat Mikey. I agree Mikey has a shot vs Spence but imo it will look almost identical to Corrales vs Grandpa Garcia. Where the much more skilled fighter loses just because of weight. I think Robert should realize from past experiences, I think the money is too good to pass up
I don't think Garcia is anywhere near good enough to beat either of them. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see anything about Garcia that makes me think he's anything special. Will give him credit if he even beats one of them, I like the attitude he's shown in taking the Spence fight, he clearly doesn't lack ambition or self belief.
Way I see it is they could all take a win and a loss to each other.surely Spence is just too big though?
If he beat those guys it would be a huge accomplishment, and he's extremely talented so you can't rule it out. But it's not probable that this happens imho.
What an idiotic statement. Garcia moves up to meet a tougher challenge and some of you morons immediately project your own tendencies and accuse him of ducking. lol
He reminds me of Hopkins. He may not be the best or most gifted in one area or the other but, is very good at everything. Very well rounded!
Thats the only reason i think Spence wins. If they were the same size he beats Spence. Should be fun.
Whether Mikey win or lose against Spence, Loma is going to be there at 135 to conquer all the belts. Mikey already reinquished the IBF title, but he is still WBC champion in the division. He can talk all he wants but if he still wants to keep his current belt and fight in 135, sooner or later he'll fight Loma. But if that happens, I don't know how will Garcia control his weight, because that's surely tough and it's going to affect his performance.
