Garcia defeating Spence would be the best win of the last few years for me without a doubt. Up until recently for some reason, for most, Spence was the Boogie man of the WW's with only Crawford being given any likelihood of defeating him. Spence was called a weight bully, Monster at the weight and touted for a move upto Light middle and Middle, challenging the likes of Hurd, the Charlo's and GGG on the way. Now the fights getting closer, people aren't hyping and overrating Spence quite so much now. I've always been 50/50 on this one. As already stated, Spence is relatively inexperienced and untested at the absolute top level. He has Brook on his resume but, that's a Brook ruined by GGG and slightly past his best, still a very good win but there are bigger challenges at WW he's yet to take. Garcia winning his first world title at Featherweight and moving through to WW, skipping Light Welter on the way is damned inpressive in itself and although I rate Spence no.2 at WW behind Crawford, it's one of, if not the most competitive divisions in boxing. I've not seen this kind of risk taking and bidding for boxing glory and legacy since Pacquiao's heyday and would love Garcia to pull it off.
No, Spence has done nothing yet, I have no idea why he is hyped up as p4p top 10. His best win is a shot Kell Brook and Spence was getting whooped first half of the fight
I can see that he's the least experienced but right now I'd favour him over the other 3, but that opinion might change after this fight
Yes, Greb multiple class winner Charles light heavy champ moved to heavy Hevyweight can be considered pound for pound because you can have small heavys giving up a lot of weight. Ali yes Spence pound for pound no Ggg pound for pound no Not until they move up and prove themselves
Wow that showed alot, Charles and Greb never won the title at light heavyweight. Should Golovkin have beaten every HoF middleweight ever he wouldn't be PfP. Your whole logic is flawed. Golovkin was the most dominant force over his Division this decade. He was pfp for years. Spence could do the same (but I think he'll move up)
Dawg, Easter, Lipinets, and Zlaticanin? That's a decent run of opponents at best, no more, no less. Those three guys will be gatekeepers in the very near future.
ok, give me 5 more equally "decent" runs, and we can better put it in perspective. 3 undefeated champs and 1 unification across 2 divisions, and 1 ppv. he fought only 2 fights at lightweight, one was against an undefeated champ, the other was a unification against the only other undefeated champ. he fought only 1 fight at jw, against an undefeated champ. this comes on the heels of 2 other titles, in 2 other division, in the 4 previous fights. your turn, go.
