Garcia has no business at 140. He needs to stay at 130 or move to 135.

Pacquiao hasn't even come close to cleaning out the 147 division.

I'd say Floyd has come closer to cleaning out 147 than Pacquiao.

Uh, Have you taken a good look at 140, cause it's crowded with talent and there's no easy ride for any fighter. You got Lucas, Peterson, Danny, Broner, Crawford, Taylor, Bey, Mile high Mike, Plus the mad Pac. That joint is crowded.

Uhhhhhhh, yes he did. when Pac moved up from Lightweight up to 147 in 2008 Cotto, Mosley, Clottey and Margarito were all ranked in the top 5 in the WW division, Pac took them all out one by one, plus Oscar all while Floyd ran off into retirement. LMAO

He didn't fight Margarito at WW anyway so that doesn't count and he hadn't been ranked at any weight in quite some time when Pac did fight him.

Mosley had already been beaten by Cotto and Mayweather. So beating Mosley in 2011 doesn't equal "cleaning out the division" because he didn't beat the man who had just beaten Mosley 12 months prior.

Clottey? You are right. He was top 5. But then I could cite one-time-top-5 fighters in Andre Berto, Victor Ortiz, or Robert Guerrero as fighters that Pacquiao didn't fight and thus couldn't have "cleaned out the division."

Pac never defeated Marquez when he was a ranked WW which has been for nearly half the time Pac has been in the division.

Never fought titleholders like Zaveck, Senchenko, Malignaggi, Broner, Porter, or Brook... not that they were all worthy but he'd have had to do more to have a claim on "cleaning out the division." No fault of his own as the division has been stacked and he only fights twice a year, but nonetheless...

Bottom line is that nobody cleaned out the Welterweight division because nobody defeated both Pacquiao AND Mayweather, plus they never fought each other to even make much of an argument.

We are talking about when the division was hot, because Pac only moved up to 147 to fight DLH then he planned to dominate at 140 but because the WW division was so hot he stayed there and beat every big name at WW at the time.

maybe because they moved up to 154!

after pac was done with DLH, Cotto, Clottey and Mosley he had no one else worth fighting at 147 as Floyd was ducking so he then moved up again to deal with Margairto.

News Flash, the division is hotter than it's ever been, IMO it's hotter now than it was then. Why do you think Pac is going to 140. People are demanding good fights and the ice is about to break at Showtime with them GBP and Haymon welters. Pac don't want none.

I was a Mikey fan in the same way that I was an Andre Ward fan... As soon as he starts fighting regularly again, I'm willing to jump back on if they're in top form...

That being said, can't see him beating Crawford. It would be nice, but I just think, like Gamboa, he's too small. Sure he's smarter than Gamboa and won't get caught as easily with his hands down, but Crawford just has physical advantage...

Just like if Chris Algieri goes on to be any other quasi-top fighters like Shawn Porter or something, it won't be because he's better, it will be because of his size.

    crawford by ko.

i think mikey max's out at 135, his chin is very shaky.

i shudder when i think what them heavy hitters at lww would do to it.
