If Rigo was Floyd, he'd be ducking Garcia as well as most of the featherweight division. Would throwing out "CW or no fight", and staying at 122 to fight the Quigg's and Frampton's because he's comfortable there even be remotely acceptable? He's A G and more skilled than Floyd though. :rofl

Without doubt he is. Anyone who says otherwise just does not like the guy he is a once in a liftime talent.

 

I can respect Garcia's opinion, even if I have a different one. Floyd is truly one of the best boxers anybody has seen. It's just a shame we didn't get to watch him really push himself to the limits and strive for greatness.

 

I am old enough to have watched Pernell Whitaker. Crisper counter puncher, prettier defense, much better competition faced.

I also caught a decent chunk of Leonard's career. His power and display of skill against vastly superior competition make me place him above Floyd.

There aren't any other options in my lifetime, though.

You cant hate mayweather and like boxing at the same time can you?? maybe, but to watch Mayweather fight is to watch poetry in motion. He chooses how he goes about his business and he does it better than some are prepared to admit.


I think he talks all gangster sometimes, but he seems to be a nice enough bloke all the same.

I recall reading that his team came up with a busines plan to capitalise on his earning potential and it has worked. He has been working on a love him or hate him personality and its working really really well it seems.:hey


As for being the GOAT? im sure there were boxers who were great but never got the kind of public attention that we generate through the modern media that we have now.

One would have to watch every fight of every fighter to guage if Mayweather is indedd the greatest. According to Ali he was, and always will be the greatest......jus saying:rasta
