he hits hard, but Spence won't be right in the pocket like that. But if Spence sits and fights him on the inside and Garcia can get off some of these punches, they could hurt Spence to the body a little.

Wow, he's not even moving around the bag. He could never do that in a real fight.
No combos, no defense, no head movement. Just throwing slow one shot punches like an untrained brawler.
Has he ever seen a Freddie Roach video?
I know 12 year olds in the gym who have 3 times the technique and would make him look like a crude strong man lol.

You joke, but It's pretty amazing how many people don't understand that a heavy bag is not a pair of focus mits.

Very impressive. I think people tend to forget Garcia while not a one punch KO fighter does have some power and is very capable of hurting Spence .

Did you find the footage especially impressive? Probably wouldn't look twice if I saw or heard someone doing that on the bag in the gym. No offense to Mikey (or JC).

Everything he's doing has a purpose. Looking good right now isn't the goal.

This. Mikey makes getting in the right position while always having the proper leverage to punch with power look really easy.

This is going to be a hell of a fight, Spence is the favorite but if people think this is a walk over they tripping.

    Yes it's impressive.
If you would look past him in the gym, you'd be looking past an undefeated modern boxing champion.

The thing is, this could easily go into the old 'Aesthetics vs Effectiveness' argument, if you judge by what looks impressive.

    What’s impressive about it?

The fact that a champion boxer is doing it?

I have no idea whether or not that particular drill is effective, so I wouldn’t argue that point one way or the other. But some posters seem to think it looks impressive, and I don’t understand why.

Well, unless we know what the drill is for then I guess its just speculation.
