Mikey Garcia:"If Top Rank makes a fair deal, I'll face Lomachenko!"

Mikey-Loma is my favourite potential fight, and a fight a lot of us are calling for since Loma beat Walters. But I'm not as optimistic as you from Mikey's comments. Mikey seems to be suggesting the risk isn't worth the reward right now. He says Loma hasn't even accomplished as much as he did two years ago, and he hasn't had great numbers on HBO. And you've got Bob on the other side who might insist Loma has to get the greater purse. I'm worried too that Mikey will move to 140 next year and the window to make the fight will be short.

But Mikey's in a great position. Loma's too small for Crawford and Pacquiao and too big for Rigo, but Mikey matches up well against both Loma and Crawford.

I'd love to see that. Garcia vs Loma for Loma's 3rd title in 3 weightclasses (maybe even within 10 fights).

But I at least hope Mikey stays active now.

 

Tough fight for Loma, mickey is really good and probably the biggest puncher Loma will meet.

 

Garcia vs Loma and Garcia vs Crawford are both excellent matchups, two p4p talents going for it.

Given the choice I'd prefer Garcia - Loma ....

 

Are we expecting too much from Loma? I thought Crawford is a bit too big at this stage.

You're 100% right though, I'd love to see Loma -Crawford, but the size difference is such that we can't expect it of Loma.

 

I got Garcia, in a close one. Garcia probably can't overpower him so he will need to box. Lomas boxing is superb, the way he uses his waist for position and angles.

 

One of the best fights that can be made in the sport today. I pray to God we get to see this.

 

Mikey can't overlook Zlaticanin but this would be an amazing fight for the future. Would be surprised but also ecstatic if it gets made. 50/50 matchup

Loma just got to 130 not too long ago, lets defend the title and try unification before title jumping.

 

Let me get this straight; a guy with one fight in three years is telling the top promoter in the sport about business. HILARIOUS! Freakin' Arum has forgotten more about business by the time of his bar mitsvah than Garcia will ever know.
