Even if everything you’ve said is true, so what if he wants a tuneup post-surgery? Mikey can’t wait until the beginning of 2019? Too long of a layoff for HIM??!?

Calling it like I’ve seen it, Loma took on Walters, Rigo, and Linares. But he would duck Mikey? Mikey WOULD price himself out, as he’s been delusional the majority of his career.

Someone who applauds his decision to run off to 140 (one of the worst divisions in the sport) is not looking at this correctly.

What career development is fighting Pacquiao? Lose-lose fight imo. Beat an ancient PAC or even worse, get caught and lose to him?!? I guess he can finally get some coin after years of inactivity.

If he wanted to test 147 first against someone other than Spence, fine. But leaving 135 when Loma is there (and Davis will be) is weak.

Yes, it is of my opinion that Loma fought Walters, Rigo, and Linares with no issues regarding contracts. Mikey has been an inactive (or infrequent) fighter for years. I suppose you rate a win over a 40yo PAC as a career-defining win and “career developing,” but there are bigger fish to fry all around him (and still at his current weight class of 135, which me saying Loma is, is also opinion), but I guess that’s my opinion.

And if you need some “proof” of him pricing himself out of previous fights, I could find them for you in the morning.

in the last 1.5 years mikey has won the wbc world lightweight title, wbc diamond super lightweight title, ibf world super lightweight title, and a unification for ibf world lightweight title and wbc world lightweight title. you call him inactive, i call him an overachiever.
beating pac is better than anything loma has done, or is likely to do given the competition around him. mikey is his only chance to top it.

At least Easter was a step in the right direction, but then straight away he left the lightweight division to talk about fighting guys he’s never going to fight. which part of that is false or hyperbole? the debate was whether loma-garcia can get made and why. i wish loma would have said, "let me test my shoulder first and then ill give him that work", but he didnt. nor is he giving any indication that he wants mikey in the future.
