I'm not sure about that tbh. Linares is a good fighter and very, very skilful but has no chin, I can't comment about Zlacitin I've never seen him fight (maybe he's genuinely good), the British Lightweights are very mediocre to me.

I haven't seen Robert Easter Jr. so I'm going to stick to the fallacy of 'guilty by association'. A member of Broner's band camp, he probably doesn't have mental toughness and discipline to be very good.

Barthelemy looks only slightly better than his mediocre opposition.

Damn, Vasyl Lomachenko vs Mikey Garcia is a genuine possibility for the future.
Mikey can possibly give Lomachenko some Selimov-esque problems.

I agree Crolla is an overachiever and just domestic level as is Matthews. But Flanagan beat Magdaleno and is world-class, and is well-schooled, compact, smart. He'd be a puzzle I'd like to see Garcia solve. True Easter hasn't faced a guy with a chin who will stay with him, so we can consider him still a bit of a prospect. But he has a lot of speed and power and natural talent, and more than that he's patient, which I think should distinguish him from Broner. Linares... sure he has a crystal chin, but through his recent winning streak he's shown he can protect it and win fights. I wouldn't be surprised if he boxes Mikey evenly through 6 or 7 before Mikey ices him, and it would be worth watching. Zlaticanin proved he was for real in his last fight. He's a buzzsaw with speed and power, and knows how to mix up his attack inside. Barthelemy did beat Shafikov as well as Mendez and Bey, but I guess you'll say Mendez has no chin and Shafikov's a guy whose best win was only Bey.

If we're comparing 135 to 140, who at 140 besides Crawford and Postol as good as those lightweights? Matthysse's future is pretty uncertain so you can barely consider him--and it might be a bit too crazy for a guy who last fought at 130 to face a natural 140 lber with Matthysse's power. Then what, Broner?

Moral of the story: Mikey has plenty of worthwhile business at 135 before considering 140.
