Mikey Garcia Said He'd Love To Fight Keith Thurman @ 147!!!

I'd love to see Mike Garcia earn said fight

 

I'll believe it when it happens and I also don't see this going well for Garcia if it does happen.

What is up with everyone disrespecting Thurman now? Then again he wanted the attention and now everyone is gunning for him. Now he knows how Floyd felt.

Mikey has a ton of heart and the desire to challenge the best, but I think 147 is too high for him, and Thurman particularly I think is a little too big and strong for him Being That right now He's In His Physical prime. I don't think that fight will ever happen.

 

It's not Garcia's weight division. Thurman has been disappointing in his last two fights, I though he lost to Porter and is could have been a draw vs. Danny Garcia..................Thurman ran much of the time, but Garcia did not throw enough punches. Thurman always talks about his power, he has shown no power in his last two fights...........disappointing............he should fight Brooks............

Maybe in a few years but not now. And not because Thurman will get older and slow down, but just think 147 is a bit high for him.

 

Mickey is a tremendous fighter. Much like Broner, he enjoys a good size advantage at the lower weight class he excelled in.
He still have unfinished business at lightweight. Mind alone 140 and 147. If he is serious he can shoot for linares, Crawford, pacman or Thurman. Preferably in that order. I'm not sure he can get past Crawford.

 

He would need to fight Crawford first, and although I rate Mikey very highly, that might be the end of him going up. IMHO Crawford is too big, and Thurman is even bigger.

I think I'd rather he stays in his own weight class, fights Linares, and eventually fights Loma. Crawford can go to 147 and mix it up with Thurman,Brook,Spence, etc., lots of great fights there. But full credit to Mikey, he's a tremendous fighter.

 

Mickey needs to also unify with Linares and Easter. Then move up and try to deal with Crawford.

 

I can see it being like Brook-GGG, Mikey may have some success but Thurman is too big and powerful for Mikey

 

I think Mikey should fight Crawford, who would beat him, but imo Mikey beats Thurman.

Spence, brooks and PAC also beat Thurman.
