Mikey Garcia seems happy that he's getting up to $10 mill + for the fight & doesnt care if he loses

The way Mikey has looked confident these past few days and always has a grin on his face as if he's fully confident, tells me that he doesn't seem to care if he loses, but is only focused on the fact that he's getting $8 million plus a percentage of PPV and other revenues, which is more than $10 million. His largest payday ever, which is no wonder he was willing to jump 2 weight classes and be at a disadvantage against Spence.

He's seems "money-whipped" and not focused on the fight. Looks like he just only wants to collect a check.
But as the saying goes, "Money Speaks".

I suspect Team Spence offered Mikey's team the $8 million plus last year, for Mikey to move up 2 weight classes to challenge Spence, that way Mikey is at a disadvantage and an easy win for Spence, and this would be a great victory for Spence's resume, that they beat an unbeaten Mikey Garcia (a small Mikey).

Yet he's going to do everything in his power to actually win. Because you see.. that would make him the P4P king or close to it, and put him up there in the discussion among the ATG upsets, this one win will greatly enhance his legacy and create a little piece of boxing lore. Mikey realizing this, because he's a really smart guy, and seems to be quite prideful. Now do you really think he's just there to collect a paycheck?

A few hours will tell the tale. You may be right. However, what is the price of pride? The average fighter has that. To reach the levels that Garcia and Spence are at requires a lot. More even than pride. A disciplined work ethic that is infused with pride. If he folds like a cheap tent that says a lot. I am expecting a valiant effort from both fighters.

I'd be happy too if I was going to get paid ten mil for one fight win or lose.

I don't believe this narrative at all. He could have taken more time and there still would be someone to fight out there to make this kind of money or more in one fight. People are trying to make it seem like he's just cashing out. Why cash out now? I just don't see why he would do this. This is a huge risk. I give him massive credit. He didn't have to take this fight now.

We are talking about Errol Spence, who I really like, but is not some cash cow, not even close. He's actually not that known.

of course, its not like hes fighting pac, which would set a record in attendance at jerry world, and double his cash out.

This is something only a person who has never competed and succeeded would say. You have no idea what the mindset of a champion is.

Yep. If he wins, the paychecks in the future could very well be even bigger. And a future place in the HoF should be a lock. While Mikey without a doubt must be happy for the 10 mil he's getting, future status and earnings are sure to be big factors as well. I think he really, really wants to win this and is confident that he can.

I fully agree , the only problem is when you get so called champs like Charles Martin auctioning off their belts , I get why so many people become suspicious of genuinely ballsy guys like Garcia! Win lose or draw , hats off to him

Charles Martin? lol! Being a champion is more than having a belt.

After the fight When Mickey is hooked up to tubes in the hospital before being told he has less than a 30% chance of making a full recovery to fight again, the men in suits will come in and throw a a bag on top of him that has the 10 mil and Mickey will open his eyes and still be smiling

I don't agree. Idon't think a guy who wins all those fights and has not lost is in the mode of getting money and not caring about losing. He thinks he can win. On those faceoffs that is a guy who thinks he can win. He wants to prove something and he means it. Look at his face. It doesn't lie. Whether he will win or not that is not the case. He thinks he will win. That gives him a better chance than if he didn't.

You would spend 10 million dollars trying to fix yourself up from the severe mutilation and dismemberment a Grizzly would give you.
